  1. Yep, I set off an old powder one as it had expired and I was surprised at how quickly it ran out.
  2. I'm surprised that a company which makes fire extinguishers specifically for cars would make one that doesn't work. The main problem with the small ones is that there is only enough extinguisher to cope with a relatively small fire. I don't dispute that there is more effective fire extinguishers.
  3. I think we need some before and after pictures? I'm trying to eat more healthily too, they say you are what you eat.
  4. £7 at focus , elsewhere it's normally about double that price. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/308905/automotive-fire-extinguisher-bracke/
  5. I was going to say what I had fitted but then I thought that replying to most threads like this, not just on here is totally pointless anyway. I'm offf to find something slightly more interesting to do.
  6. Too many old cars for me. It took ages to find the place aswell.
  7. I've got a Panasonic DMR-EH50 and the quality is great on the standard record mode. My brother has a slightly older model and that's great too.
  8. I don't feel well. I'll probably be watching Jools Holland if there's anyone decent on. Blackadder is on now.
  9. What a place to go to sleep. lol
  10. 6kg ABC powder only £12.22, normally £24.99 - Lidl from 02/01/09 http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/305474/fire-extinguisher-6kg-abc-powder-on/ .
  11. I'm surprised it hasn't been posted already. 50% off at Thorntons website (most chocolates). Plus an additional 25% off on top, plus 8% Quidco The website is unsurprisingly a little slow. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/303154/50-off-at-thorntons-website-plus-ad/showthread.php?t=303154
  12. Can't you pull out the extension bar a little or use a deeper socket? If there's a chance of a hex socket slipping on a shallow bolt or nut I grind the face of the socket flat so you don't have the beveled inside part of the socket which doesn't help at all as you want as much contact area as possible with the bolt or nut. I'll be surprised if they're very tight though, mine came loose easily with a ring spanner.
  13. It hasn't been asked for a while, I'm in a helpful mood (bored). Best to lift the whole rear end, use 2 axel stands - one on each side then the same at the front. Trolley jack under the diff then trolley jack under the front cross member. Here's a good diagram:
  14. lol Abuse, you cannot be serious! You may have a different attitude when you've been on here a few years. Have a look through all of the posts where I've tried to help other members, you'll be very very very surprised! I even got told off recently for providing too much information when trying to be helpful to a fellow member! I would say that from the original post it's clear that very little effort if anything at all was done to search for an answer to the question which was asked. When somone has done a decent search for a technical question they normally say stuff like: I know how to remove this bit but what tool do I need to use now? or I removed the plastic cover but couldn't remove the clip or I couldn't get a socket to fit on the nut. etc etc.
  15. Can't you get one from Curt Aigner on Supraforums? It would be helpful if you posted the part number or a more specific description of the part that you need.
  16. You obviously didn't look hard enough then. A quote from the Urban dictionary . lol
  17. Nice of you both to give some advice. Personally I'm starting to get tired of simple questions being asked time and time again when it's fairly obvious that they haven't even bothered to make an effort to do a search first.
  18. Do you have the part numbers? 12.30 , I'm off to bed. .
  19. I would think so, it would be pointless selling seats with these functions if you couldn't use them.
  20. Wasn't it me that replied to your question? It had nothing it at all to do with the fact that you're female, the technical terminology that you used in the question indicated to me that you didn't have a great deal of knowledge. I get concerned that some members won't do things correctly for example when you start messing with car electrics and interfering with vacuum hoses in the engine bay resulting in possibly more harm than good. So sometimes I'll give a more comprehensive reply than may be be needed as I'm obviously not aware of what skills they possess, the person who asks the question can take from it what ever is helpful. This can also save them from posting any follow up questions.
  21. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can sell wheel studs. Do a search and get some quality ones from a known manufacturer
