  1. Hitting standing water can really catch you out. I'm always so very very cautious if in the unlikely event I'm out in the rain whilst driving the Supra. .
  2. The Toad ai606 is a very reliable alarm. My siren isn't that loud though,it is possible to fit a louder siren to the alarm if needed.

    passed mot.

Not as good as mine. I had a look at the mot's for my car the other day, one mot is 2000 miles less than the one after it which was a year later. A mistake by the mot tester as all those were done under my ownership and I know what miles it's done.
  4. If all the pistons and seals are in place like they should be then I would just fit them on the car. The pistons and seals would've been lubed up when they were installed into the calliper. If they're capable of keeping brake dust out, water and all the other dirty stuf on the road then I'm sure a little cardboard dust wouldn't cause any problems. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. Invisible paint would be good too.
  6. Like others have said, zero. Most people who could've afforded a new one are unlikely to be owning a car which is now anything between 16 to 7 years old.
  7. The oil temp gauge is useful.
  8. My brother bought a 3.0 S Type, it's very nice, quiet and comfortable. Manual gearbox though, he wishes he got an auto. He converted it to LPG himself which made the engine even quieter. Have you driven the previous shape newish Mondeo?
  9. Yes, we've got the gree and yellow cable. When he said black cable it got me thinking that we don't have it. I'll check out the continuity and resistance tomorrow. Thanks
  10. Run to the Hills! He's been on the TV on one of the discovery channels "Flying Heavy Metal", he landed the Shuttle in a simulator and made a perfect landing.
  11. Wouldn't you normally expect the temp to drop as you increase the fan speed, the air passing through the matrix obviously won't have as much time to warm up as it does at a low fan speed. To what extent is normal I'm not sure as most of the time I have the fan speed low.
  12. Look at what it says under the username.
  13. So the freezer doesn't lose power and defrosts when the auto timer switches the security light on and blows the bulb which trips the rcd when you're away on holiday.
  14. There aren't any unfortunately.
  15. I would get someone to look at it asap. I reconfigured our consumer unit so all of the circuits are protected by the RCD. We don't have a black wire back to the fuse board.
  16. I checked the drivers side. I don't drive the car enough, there's still loads of tread on them too.
  17. Surely that cannot be correct, voluntarily driving into 12 inches of water in any car would be stupid. It hardly simulates possible driving conditions. Was that meant to be 1 to 2 inches?
  18. I'm not sure, i've just had a look at my Goodyear's and the number isn't in the same format as Wez's. I've got... DOT NE4N 2JJR 2506 , in my case 25 week 2006. On the link that was posted about tyre age it looks like "DOT" proceeds the number. I might be wrong though
  19. I would try another Toyota dealer and let them decide which one is correct, your Model No and Frame No is all they should need.

    ABS Issues

Some of the early NA cars didn't have ABS fitted. If you've got ABS a warning light should appear on the dash when you put the ignition on.
  21. Of course not from a performance point of view but I'm sure the companies who pay millions to have their name on the car want something that looks nice. The shape of the Renault is okay but the colour scheme is horrible to say the least.
  22. Side impact collisions are the worst.
