  1. Definately get a secondhand bike if you've only got £300, it will be much better quality than a new one for that price.

    Bonnet help

Just the obvious lubrication of latches and the cables etc.
  4. Hello Very nice indeed, everything that's been done to the car goes together so well!
  5. It does sound like the diverter valve,a common problem when it's not moving from hot water to heating. My sister was having the same problem on her combi, I ordered a new diverter valve off the internet . I removed the old one but realised the new one wasn't the same so I just took it to bits and gave it a good clean and it's been working fine for the last three years. I'm sure the valve was no more than £15, labour fitting it of course but handy when you can do it yourself.

    New Cam Belt

Your neighbour would charge you £250 - £300? As a neighbour he's definately not doing you any favours.
  7. Motorbikes don't contribute to congestion! £33 for road tax! .

    Supra wanted!

There aren't many manual uk cars around ufortunately, auto's are more common. There are a few uk spec cars for sale on here, one manual car too.

  10. I didn't say it wouldn't fit, a 10" wheel with a 40mm offset is a good size for the rear. With this in mind you'll want the wheels/tyres to stick out a fair bit. Have you seen this fitment guide before? Supra Tyre fitment.xls
  11. Yes, but a 10" wheel is also going to stick out a further 1/4" (6.4mm) over a stock rear 9.5" wheel . So overall 16.4 mm further out than a stock rear wheel. Stock rear tyre on a TT is 255/45 17 , tyre dia= 661 mm Best rear tyre for a 18" rear wheel is 255/40 18,... dia=661 mm Edit, I'm not sure if a 255 is a little narrow for a 10" wheel, even if it is a good diameter You could go wider if you wanted too. Use this fitment tool to compare a stock tyre/ wheel with aftermarket sizes. http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator.htm
  12. Yes, not well. He was online in the early hours.
  13. A bowl of hot cereal, go to bed and count sheep.
  14. I did see the BF one but I'm sure I saw the one you're after (I've got the same gauges) I'll have a look again later. 60mm gauges.
  15. Not another one! http://tinyurl.com/bhrh79
  16. lol The silicone was just meant to be a better temporary alternative to a grommet.
  17. In a tube, the same stuff that's used in bathrooms and kitchens etc. It sticks to almost anything, once applied it will cure but it remains flexible (like rubber) and waterproof. Like the stuff below for example. http://www.screwfix.com/prods/62431/Sealants-Adhesives/Sealants/All-Weather-Sealants/Dow-Corning-791-Weatherproof-Silicone-Black
  18. Some decent quality coloured silicone rubber applied mainly from underneath will adhere perfectly. What colour is the car?
  19. What a nice colour choice.
  20. I get about five or six weeks, obviously dependent on alarm current drain .
  21. Yes you can lock both doors from the passenger side, there's also a switch on the dashboard near the drivers door that enable you to lock both doors. I thought you would've had an alarm fitted so you can press the button on the key fob that will arm the alarm and lock the doors simultaneously.
  22. Possible but not certain at all as it obviously depends on the offset of the wheel. There'll be plenty of members on here will be using that size without any rubbing.
  23. My brother bought a C5 Z06 last year, I've driven it quite a few times and I was surprised at how comfortable it was changing gear with your right hand. It's not so easy to see what's coming at roundabouts and junctions when you've got a passenger but the pleasure he gets from driving it makes it all worthwhile. He's got an aftermarket exhaust with an induction kit so it produces a fantastic deep rumble on acceleration, I thought my car got a lot of attention until I drove the Corvette.
  24. I always look at how others react to a joke first to see if it's worth reading, especially if it's a long one.
  25. Yes, I've heard that a few times. The photo's will be useful, will she be able to explain why she had crossed lanes into yours?
