  1. Yes, that's what I would do.
  2. If you switch the ignition on without starting the engine it should show zero on the gauge. If you start it up and let it idle it will show a negative pressure as the engine is sucking air in from the inlet manifold. If you rev it up the turbo's will start to push air into the inlet manifold , the needle on the gauge will move from a negative pressure, past zero and will show a positive pressure, the final positive pressure is obviously dependent on how far you put your right foot down. A stock car under full boost will give approx 0.8bar or 23 inHg A BPU modified car under full boost, most of us limit it to 1.2bar or 35inHg.
  3. I had to read it a few times aswell. lol You're thinking that if you had your wheels stolen that the insurance company would only pay for secondhand stock alloys? Surely they would pay out the money for new stock alloys and you should be able to use this money to buy the wheels that you prefer?

    Nutter policeman

I agree, it was over the top and he'll probably lose his job but some people have very little if any respect for the law. What type of person at 15 years old would have the nerve to do that with their shoes?
  5. You do know where to use the lubrication then?
  6. A 7" rim in my opinion would be too narrow for a 225 tyre. If you're spending money on a new set of wheels it would be foolish to compromise on fitment.

    0-60

The 0-60 time is just an easily available and memorable performance figure that you can use to compare one car with another, that's obviously why people want to know what it is even if it isn't that relevant to actual driving conditions. A 30-70 time or something like that would be better if it was readily available.
  8. I wouldn't do it if you disable the steering lock or if you still have to use the key for it.
  9. I'm pleased to hear that they're going to be using it again.
  10. If you remove EFI No 1 fuse (fuse box on left of engine bay) for a minute or discconect the battery for the same time it will reset the ecu. Reading fault codes There's fault diagnosis stuff in the manual below, diagnostic section page 469 and on for the ABS. Toyota Service Repair Manuals
  11. I still couldn't kill it.
  12. You could've used a humane trap, I couldn't kill any animal just because it's seeking shelter. Using too food will encourage other rats.
  13. I've got them, carbon fibre steering wheel too which has a really nice feel to it. A completely unmodified Supra is very rare.

    Help

I don't follow, the front of the 1st decat fit's onto the turbo elbow with 3 studs and nuts. If you're having a problem here you can remove the turbo elbow which isn't difficult, removing the turbo heatshield will give you access to the nuts/bolts (I can't remember if they're all nuts as it's been a while since I removed mine).
  15. Kevin is very good aswell , how on earth does he know so much? I know it was the first time he had lost at that particular topic, I forget now what it was. But was that the first time he had lost at any specific topic during the knockout rounds?
  16. That's tragic, I'm really sorry to hear about this. Paddy won't have known a thing about it.

    Ben nevis

Helvellyn a few days ago below (not my pic) , I've been up about 5 or 6 times (I hate heights). I've been up Ben Nevis twice but never in the winter, 40% higher than Helvellyn so the potential is there for the weather to be much more severe, I'm sure it'll be great fun in the winter though.
  18. I think it's generally assumed that most people from all walks of life enjoy a drink in their leisure time so they give you a gift of alchohol to express a more personal appreciation of what you've done for them. I hope they give you money for the work you've done aswell?

    Fuel Filter

Pay someone to do somethimg as easy as that when you now know how it's done.
  20. One careless mistake when you're taking unnecessary risks flying an aircraft can obviously result in total disaster.
  21. You could aways wear a disguise and go back in to get another 15 rolls.
  22. I'm just passing on what I found out this morning. Loft Insulation Was £50 - Will be £3 at B&Q on Friday. The reason that it's so cheap is that it's being subsidised by British Gas. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/337202/loft-insulation-was-50-will-be-3-at/showthread.php?t=337202 I've got a large van.
