  1. Send a photo of the locking nut plus copies of your driving licence and V5 to McGuard like this bloke did. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=82598
  2. If you look at my post and see who I was quoting you would see the point wouldn't you. Someone was saying they had rubbing issues with 275 tyres and 19" wheels, I was merely saying that I have the same setup with no rubbing at all. You don't have to be Einstein to realise that wheel widths matter.
  3. It is. I couldn't be bothered to say what mine are , I've lost count of the number of times that I've done so. .
  4. Not really but the local car shop sell it for about half that price, depends on how far you have to travel.
  5. It's called exhaust assembly paste, an off white paste. Don't confuse it with repair paste/putty. Expensive at Halfords. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_164909_langId_-1_categoryId_165625 Your local car shop should have some cheaper.
  6. Fair enough, but you didn't say yours were +35 aswell. The website I looked on lists the 19's as having an offset available from +20 to +45.
  7. That's all I ever use, make sure you use sufficient.
  8. You need to specify the offset. I have 19's on the rear with 275 tyres with no rubbing at all, the offset being +37mm.
  9. It does show a normal operating temperature very quickly, far too early to be pushing it too much.
  10. Sparco Milano Prestige Red Leather Seats BRAND NEW !!!!!! My brother recently purchased these seats to fit in his Corvette but before he had time to fit them he was unexpectedly made redundant so has decided to sell them. Here's the ebay link if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190347910214&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT Thanks
  11. Baffle for sale direct from Blitz. http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/ProductItem-115.aspx
  12. You forgot to include the option that normally receives a very high proportion of the votes.
  13. The studs I bought had a deeper spline than the stock ones, I tried fitting one but it was far too tight a fit to pull them into the hub without causing damage. I just put them in the lathe and used a hand file on them to reduce the spline a little.
  14. It wouldn't bother me as I would only dare to go out in the dark for other reasons besides the shoes.
  15. I did just that. . Straight knurl or splined type.
  16. It's been discussed many times on here. "All number plates must meet standard size for lettering and style (with the exception of imported cars that were not designed for UK plates and have a functional reason for not using standard size plates). Certain imported vehicles may be permitted to display number plates with smaller characters if: The vehicle does not have European Community Whole Type Approval AND the vehicle’s construction/design cannot accommodate standard UK size number plates".
  17. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
  18. Does Jake not mean that the spacer can only accomodate a maximum hub depth of 10mm before it bottoms out, with the hub on this car being 11mm it would mean that the spacer wouldn't fit flush against the bell of the brake disc. There would be a 1mm gap with the wheel bolts tightened which would result in the spacer being highly stressed and finally it broke to make the wheel loosen off by 1mm. The spacers with the integrated hub centric ring also appear to be be very poorly designed with there being very little metal between the bore and the centric ring. I think Chris is pointing to the fact that the hub centic rings quite often don't fit correctly, get lost and can be of a poor quality material.
  19. I saw the programme, her house was a right mess. The bloke that visited his mothers house for tea and a massive plate of sandwiches was very odd, his teeth were rotten. Some really clever people though.

    Heated garage

Don't put a damp car in a heated garage without good ventilation though, perfect conditions for rust.
  21. If you're going to ring up previous customers and then hang up the phone when they say hello then please make sure you withhold your telephone number. To save you wasting my time again I'm not insuring the car over the winter.
  22. You don't have to pay over the odds for a sandwich plate, much cheaper on Ebay and they do the job just fine.
