  1. If you pm me your email address I'll send you the installation and user manuals.
  2. Hamilton shows pace on final morning. Today is the last day of testing before the season starts. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/81775
  3. The immobiliser wires coming from the alarm unit aren't colour coded, that's if you want to try and trace them. It's quite simple how they immobiliser a circuit on the car but I don't want to say too much on here.
  4. Check the terminals on the battery to see if they're tight. Has there always been no lights showing on the dash when it's immobolised?
  5. I read a while ago that someone not on here lost their locking wheel nut key, they were made by Mcguard. He sent them a photo of the locking wheel nut and they supplied the correct key to fit.

    A question

If you look at Great Britain as a whole Scotland, Ireland and Wales almost don't exist as everything of any major significance happens in England and the South. They may have the feeling they get overlooked, forgotten about and aren't treated equal but I think it's more to do with population density than anything else.
  7. So you're saying that the question was clear and easily understood? Where does it say that he bought a UK spec clock, there're plenty of aftermarket gauges available? There's an obvious difference between the two words "presuming" and "knowing".
  8. Nope, I can't the bed is against the wall. I get annoyed at reading posts on here that cannot be easily understood. That's why they get few if any at all replies.
  9. I'm sure they wouldn't say it's nothing to worry about if they had any doubts. Let us know how she gets on.
  10. Bought what? Why would they be the same, whatever it is?
  11. What an informative thread title, it could apply to absolutely anything.
  12. Good luck. Which hospital are you getting it done at, my brother's knee is knackered too, he's waiting to get an MRI scan?
  13. They'll fit if they're the correct length?
  14. I'm not sure if you can use the tax renewal reminder that you received last time with the reference number to tax it online. I had thrown mine away so I taxed it at the post office, don't waste time by looking for a form like I did last time, there isn't one now.
  15. Impressive, must've cost a bit.
  16. I've never heard of it before but I can visualise what it might be. Ill have a look on Google.
  17. Thanks for the replies, some good points made. You're both right in saying that the compressor I've got isn't much good. I'll look for a bigger compressor and a pressure pot as they do require less air. I've been looking at the hydrovane compressors on ebay but they aren't cheap, I'll keep looking to see if I can find a bargain.
  18. Cilla Black and Michael Parkinson selling some sort of life assurance.
  19. My brother has a shotblasting cabinet like the one in the picture below, I had a go cleaning up a brake caliper from my van but it's nowhere near as effective as I was expecting. The compresser I'm using is 50 litres, 3hp . I know it's not adequate as the pressure drops very quickly and the pump can't keep up. But even when it's running at 100 psi for a few seconds with a small 4mm nozzle on the gun it's still poor at removing paint and corrosion. I've been using 60/80 grit aluminium oxide which is quite fine but it's working better than a coarse aqua grit or supa grit which both require a larger nozzle which obviously slows down the speed of the grit leaving the gun. http://www.ccw-tools.com/uploads/images_products/2754.jpg Has anyone had any experience using a shotblasting pot that you put the grit into and pressurise with the compressor keeping it topped up, like the one in the picture below? http://img.tradeindia.com/tradeleads/2/org_1894795.jpg
  20. I wouldn't be so childish to just make the figures up.
  21. It's not easy to give the right advice to a complete novice like you say especially when you've had smoke coming from behind the dash. I'm sure it would be safer to get someone to do it for you as you've obviously overloaded a circuit which should be investigated, you don't want the car to go up in flames.
  22. Out of curosity I thought I would get some figures (nothing better to do). I looked at 100 members who own Supra's 54% have manual gearboxes 46% have automatic gearboxes
  23. I'll start by saying, you must have long arms. Didn't you want to clutter the dashboard with a horrible aftermarket switch? If you bought a 3 prong terminal illuminated switch then you've probably bought the correct one. (You can also buy 3 terminal switches that are single pole/2 way which you wouldn't want). These 3 terminal switches aren't designed to illuminate when the dashboard is lit up at night(4 terminal one) so I wouldn't connect it up to the ashtray illumination wire as in theory it might work but you could easily overload it and blow the fuse . (I'm not sure of the fuse size). Did you identify the terminals on the new switch, it looks to me that you may got them mixed up and have blown the fuse for the ashtray? The 3 terminals on the switch should be labelled: 1.Earth............. Connect it to a good bare metal earth somewhere around the centre console. 2.Load...............Connect this to the foglight. (The other connection at the foglight itself should be earthed). 3.Supply............ Connect this to a 12v supply that becomes live when the ignition is on (This is obviously to prevent the battery from being drained if you connected it to a permanent live and forget to switch the foglights off), also fit an inline fuse. Don't forget you're adding an extra load to an existing circuit that supplies something else so make sure it's man enough. (The ashtray illumination isn't). I can't remember which 12v supply I used last time as it's a while since i worked on the electrics, I vaguely remember using a supply in the drivers footwell which was there for heated seats which I don't have.
