  1. Considering getting a BOV, cannot really afford one but I feel like treating myself yet again! After doing a search the HKS SSQV looks like the one to get . Are they worth the expense? Will it put an even bigger on my face when going for a drive? Cheers
  2. After doing a liitle more research and getting a good recommendation from another member Gaz I've just ordered some Silkolene oil. From what I've read it appears to be a little better than the Valvoline. Thanks Gaz:) Andrew
  3. I've been looking for some Valvoline Synpower 5w/50. They haven't got any at Partco , Andrew Page , Motorworld and Halfords. I prefer to pick some up to save delivery but I don't know where else to go. Any ideas?
  4. I know there were a few people interested in the Lambo door kits, just found some on Ebay in the States. The cheapest I've seen and they deliver Worldwide. Lambo door kits
  5. I'm sure I read somewhere that there is some details stamped on the right side of the bulkhead.
  6. Yep I already knew what you were getting at, but I didn't measure the dia of the half moon cut-out on the shim . Does the piston push against the shim and the backplate of the pad or is it larger than this and only pushes against the shim. I'm sure there is good reasoning behind the design.
  7. I've got the same as Scotty and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I don't listen to the radio, I drive everywhere with the window down and have a big grin on my face:)
  8. Just did my front pads on Monday and this never occured to me. But I agree with your reasoning that if Toyota designed it this way then they should be okay. My pads had a full shim covering the whole pad and on top of that was the one with the half moon shape. Not sure if the diameter of the half moon shape of the shim is the same size or larger than the diameter of the piston anyway.
  9. Bloody Hell! Hope you're okay Really sorry to hear this!
  10. Not familiar with the alarm but it's probably a panic button which would set off the alarm.
  11. Not sure if it would be the bearings, I had a similar sound coming from the rear. It was a screw stuck in the tyre.
  12. My rear discs had the min allowable thickness stamped on them, not sure about the front.
  13. What a coincidence! This purple car that you posted the advert for , well I saw it today . The bloke works for a company called Multichem which is Based in Hexham, I was dropping some stuff off at the Council offices next door. I pulled along side to have a look. It's one of the best looking Supra's that I've seen, very clean and shiny. Definately worth looking at if you're after one, I'll have another look when I go back next Wednesday.
  14. I've got a similar spec car (1.2bar boost) and I was getting a misfire with the Denso PK20R11. I replaced them with the NGK BKR7E (6097), the car is now running perfectly(£10.43 a set from Partco). Don't think these plugs have a particularly short life it's just the IK22's have a long life. (Does that make sense?) mkiv.com recommend the NGK BKR7E (6097) for a BPU spec

Think he made a mistake with the advert, it's advertised on here as a 94 car. Even so it's still a good price!

    What's wrong with it?

  18. Cheers I considered both options, I'm just not sure what their long term resistance to the fuel would be!
  19. Just got my Walbro fuel pump, but there isn't any connectors for the wires. I've done a search but cannot find much, some of you have used terminal blocks. "Environmental connectors" are resistant to fuel but I can only find them in the R.S. catalogue and you have to get them in packs of 25 which would cost more than £30. Any help appreciated.
  20. Remember seeing Tiff Needell driving one on Top Gear in 1993, it was the sort of car you would dream of owning if you had the money. Can't think of many other cars for this money which combine the flamboyant flash styling and high performance . Much preferred to get a manual and it had to be a TT. Didn't want to have any regrets later:)
  21. It is still red! Could post a pic of mine but I would have to find some nice scenery:) When I was looking for a car I found the nice pics of the black one, I saved them because I thought it was one of the best looking cars that I've seen!
