  1. ABS Connections VVTI John, this just confirms what you originally thought about the ABS wires. I've checked with my multimeter and they are correct. http://img212.exs.cx/img212/674/japvvtiabs13tx.jpg http://img212.exs.cx/img212/2817/socket17bj.jpg Small Plug Pin 3 Red wire .......Front Right Wheel Pin 8 White wire......Front Left Wheel Large Plug Pin 10 Blue Wire......Rear Right Wheel Pin 22 Purple Wire....Rear Left Wheel The pins that I've got for the injectors are different though, I've put what I got above what you thought. These are on my Oct 97 VVTI, I would be surprised if they were different on your 98 car. I checked the colours on the Injectors themselves to obtain this. http://img78.exs.cx/img78/5471/98vvtiecupins7gr.jpg
  2. John, I've just edited this after reading your post properly. There are two connections on each of the two plugs, I jacked up the car this afternoon, spun the wheels and checked them with my multimeter. You were correct the first time.
  3. Very helpful, I was expecting the pin numbers on the bottom row to follow round from the top. Didn't expect them to start from the right again! I've also got the red and white wires. On the 26 pin connector.Top row starting from right, pin 10 is blue/silver bands. Bottom row , pin 22 is purple/silver bands. On the ECU my injector wires are slightly different, I checked the wires on the injectors themselves. Can anyone confirm these are correct? I get: Injector 1 .. red/blue .......... 2 .. blue/red .......... 3 .. blue .......... 4 .. red/white .......... 5 .. red .......... 6 .. black/red Not sure about the rpm wire yet.
  4. Is it possible to use a multimeter on the ABS wires and spin each wheel in turn to check for the four wires? The RLTC manual says I should be measuring resistance, can this be done? Do you need the ignition on, should the multiplug be plugged in? . Hope I can get mine done today.
  5. Not yet, I might give them a ring tomorrow.
  6. To be honest I didn't see the bit you've highlighted, but you can select the imported car as an option. I'll contact them tomorrow to check on this.
  7. when choosing the car, they gave all the options available including imports and I made sure I selected the correct one. I did it all online just like on Elephant which is part of Admiral! No worries here!
  8. I've just had my renewal through from Elephant - £920 , hasn't come down much from last year. So I thought I would try and get a few quotes on the net, but I couldn't find any that were even close. Some companies were quoting over £2000! I decided to give Admiral a go, very easy website and if you have a modded car like most of us do you can even do that aswell. Very happy when I was quoted £770! Sometimes my twin brother likes to have a drive of the car, so I put him on as a named driver (it doesn't even ask how many years no claims he has). I was very surprised to get a quote which is £72 cheaper. So now I'm only paying £698, which is £222 cheaper than Elephant. :rich: Funny thing is, Elephant is part of Admiral!
  9. Netgear are good, the Linksys one we had a few years ago caused problems on Telewest Broadband. They might have changed since then though.
  10. If it is him he's a bloody tw*t, trying to con unsuspecting people out of their hard earned money. He's no better than the other scammers on EBay.

    Which DVD recorder?

I've got a Panasonic DMR E85HEBS, it's got a 80GB hard disk. I wasn't sure about paying the extra for the hard disk but I'm glad I did, great for recording programmes that you want to watch later then you can delete them - no messing with discs. You can dub the programme onto a disk later if you want or make recordings straight onto disk. It's got the same features as Sky+, you can record a live programme and come in say twenty minutes later and watch it from the start whilst still recording. It's very easy to use and it got a good write up, picture is faultless. They're coming down in price all the time, many places found on Google are selling it for just over £300
  12. Using just one set of tyres might not be such a good thing as Martin Brundle pointed out. They might be reluctant to try overtaking , if you flat spot a tyre it's very difficult to drive at 180 with so much vibration! More conservative driving is going to make it even less exciting than it is now.
  13. I know. I've acquired the latest operating system . But I haven't managed to get it working yet.
  14. Cheers MFS I've stopped the Windows Logon from appearing. But I cannot get it to Logon automatically onto this site even though the cookies are enabled.
  15. I have to keep entering my Username and Password, I've clicked the "remember me" box but it still doesn't work. I've just done a clean install of Windows ME so it must be connected. Also, how do you stop the Windows Logon box appearing when Windows is loading, I've done it once before but cannot remember how? Thanks

    Im A Mess

A combination of less weight on the back end, really wide tyres (less pressure on the road) that sit on top of the slippery stuff and with a lot of power it's so easy to make the wheels spin. Always best to use a high a gear as possible so the wheels won't accelerate as quickly and spin!
  17. In the exhaust manifold, as close as possible to the exhaust port. If you do a search there is plenty to be found on the subject.
  18. What are these coloured dots after the usernames for?
  19. This always happens when an indicator bulb on the same side has blown
