  1. I hope you find the owner, it would be horrible for them to have their pet cat go missing and not knowing what happened.
  2. If you take off a wheel and look at the inside then the hole would be bigger than the diameter of the hub on the car. You need to get a snug fit to keep the wheel centred on the car. You achieve this by fitting a "hub centric ring" made from plastic or aluminium, it should be a snug fit in the wheel then when you fit the wheel to the car it will also hold it centered snuggly on the hub. http://img86.exs.cx/img86/6140/hubcentricring2nc3mj.png
  3. I know it's too late now, but. Use a blow torch to heat them up a little, be careful where the heat goes though. I did them on my van a few months ago and they were seriously tight. I used a long wrench and I shattered the extension bar, only my full weight would move them. It was the locking compound on the thread which made it so difficult, I used the blow torch to warm the other bolts and they came out so easy!

    4 x 4

    1/2 a repost
  5. What confuses me is when some people only do the lottery when it's a rollover. As if the normal 3 million or whatever it is isn't enough!
  6. I think so. Hope they do rubbish, every other teams has signed a contract saying they'll cut back testing in order to reduce costs . Ferrari are the only ones that refuse to do this.
  7. BS - Bayonet connection B22 - Bayonet connection size 22 Same fitting as a normal bulb, push and turn ES - Edison Screw eg E27 Edison screw connection size 27 Screw all the way in
  8. Anyone know of any decent places on the net where you get parts from salvaged vehicles, I've done a search but cannot find any decent sites. I'm looking for an offside xenon headlamp for a Lexus LS430. Wouldn't mind getting some parts off newish BMW's and Merc's aswell. The places I've found only sell parts from much older vehicles. Thanks
  9. I thought you were "rich".
  10. Got mine fitted aswell, very happy - Everything working fine.
  11. Top Gear did a full test on the car when it first came out, Tiff Needell drove it from a platform or something that came up from underground . A lot of smoke around and I remember him demonstrate the spoiler going up and down. On the start of the one with the NSX they show a clip of the original Supra test.
  12. Yep, lets hope not. Most years I go down to watch the British Grandprix , It's so irratating how many British spectators support Ferrari instead of the local drivers and cars. It was great when Schumacher crashed into the tyre wall a few years ago.

    Traction

If you can use a soldering iron and make some good joints then you'll be okay. I didn't use the supplied multiplugs, I soldered all of the wires and used heatshrink tubing. You just have to make sure you connect to the right places RLTC is great. I had a go on the local industrial estate, stopping the car then maximum possible acceleration. I just couldn't do this before, the wheels would have just spun like mad even on a nice dry day. A few weeks ago I lost the back end of the car on a roundabout in the dry and I wasn't going that quick neither, glad I've got RLTC now.

    Traction

Do a search for RLTC - Racelogic Traction Control. Just fitted mine today, no wheelspin like before. It has variable settings for the wet, dry etc.
  15. High sulphur in the petrol can the “Nikasil” cylinder liners in their alloy block to wear excessively. "Nikasil" is a very hard dispersion layer of galvanically (electrolytically) applied Nickel applied to the soft alloy bores to prevent wear. If this hard layer is damaged, excessive bore wear occurs rapidly. Some of the V8 Jags also had this problem.
  16. I agree, that's what I've read aswell. Just drive it but be gentle with your right foot until it's warmed up.
  17. Bad idea, especially if you don't know the history of them. Why do second hand tyres mostly become available? Wouldn't put them on any car never mind a high performance car like a Supra. Doing well over 100 on second hand tyres!

    tow bar

"Dude" is a member on here. He's got a towbar for pulling a trailer.
  19. Buy two decat pipes to replace the two cats, you can put the rear cat back on for MOT time. Removing both cats can cause the boost to go too high, to keep it down to approx 1.2 bar max you'll have to fit a restrictor ring. It's basically a thin plate that will fit between the last decat pipe and your exhaust and has an aperture slightly smaller than the exhaust. Get the decat pipes and restrictor ring from Chris Wilson. Most on here run there stock turbos upto 1.2 bar, you'll have to fit a boost gauge to keep a check on this. You'll also need a FCD (fuel cut defender) to prevent the fuel being cut off, get a TRL one. You also need to get some colder spark plugs. Also recommended to get a Walbro 342 fuel pump.
  20. Yep, definately interested.
  21. To be honest it only took me half an hour if that! I realise you don't need to know which wire is for each wheel but I thought I would make a note anyhow because you never know when it could be useful.
  22. I haven't got it fitting yet, just wanted to check the wires first. I jacked up each wheel in turn and got someone to spin the wheel, it doesn't have to rotate very quickly at all. No need to have the ignition on. I left the multiplugs plugged in, I grounded one end of the multimeter test leads on a good earth and then probed the other lead into the two plugs to check for the wires. I was getting a reading of about 1400-1500 ohms for each wheels which was fluctuating as the wheel turned.
