  1. There'll not be much room underneath, I put mine up on the ramps. You'll need a decent socket with some long extensions and a universal joint. Use some exhaust assembly paste on the joints. Do you keep the second cat on the car? I haven't had a MOT with one cat but is supposed to be able to pass with just the one. I've got both cats removed with two decat pipes fitted. I'm going to just replace the second cat for the MOT , it's much easier to get to than the first one!
  2. Look like mine! Better than being whitish grey!

You can get them in that size, you didn't look very far! http://www.mytyres.net/first.html
  4. The coil packs generally only get changed if you break them (they can get brittle) or if you have a fault with your ignition, at least £300 from the States. There are 3 sets of 2, have a look. Changing your plugs: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/spark_plugs/index.html

  6. Very easy to do. The plugs are relatively cheap £11 - £65, the other bits aren't cheap!
  7. Yep, much better. Or give the orange ones a light coat of silver spray paint - works well!
  8. Very Funny, best laugh I've had all day!
  9. I got some from here for my facelift. I'm sure I read somewhere that they do fit the pre-facelift, not sure if you have to remove one of the three fixing bolts. Bare in mind that they come with the wedge type bulbs that you push in, will your bulb holder be okay?
  10. This place https://ssl.iomart.com/johnsonstyres.com/acatalog/contact.html I cannot find any that cheap though, my 255/35ZR18 Goodyear F1 GSD3 are £159.
  11. I agree, but I wouldn't have blamed his girlfriend for the incident. You've just got to realise that you catch a lot of drivers by surprise and you cannot just expect them to jump out of the way.
  12. They were probably both driving poorly, but from what was originally posted the Supra was all over the place and more dangerous than his girlfriend. I'm not sure if you're saying you would feel safer in the Supra approaching other cars at silly speeds then you must be crazy.
  13. Who says the car in lane 1 was going faster? An indicated speed of 45 on the speedo would probably nearer 40 in reality. When "Dappastyle" said they were both going at the same speed, I'm not sure if he meant exactly the same speed. Most people including the Police accept that drivers go just slightly faster than the speed limit, 35 in a 30, 45 in a 40 , 60 in a 50 etc. If his girlfriend was going 45 in a 40 I would say she was going with the flow of the traffic and not holding anyone up! I think she was just taken by surprise at how fast the Supra came up. I know which car I would rather be a passenger in!
  14. I don't like drivers hogging the outside lane just like everyone else, I agree that they should move out of the way. Buy you're not hogging the outside lane if knowone wants past, from what I've read the Supra driver came up behind very quickly with his lights flashing demanding to get past and his girlfriend was taken by surprise. It sounds like this lads girlfriend was driving very sensibly, doing 45 in a 40 is just the right speed. Everything the Supra driver did from what we know was totally wrong. Anyone who drives a fast car like a Supra should realise that other motorists can get caught out by their speed, the roads are for all of us!
  15. Bugger, sorry to hear that! Not sure if you could have done anything, would a speed detector have worked, don't know what they were using? I might have to get one though. Everytime I've been on the M6 in Cumbria it's been so quiet with very little traffic, they should be waiting in residential areas and not on the motorway which are the safest roads of all!
  16. Hi and welcome. Sounds like your girlfriend was driving perfectly okay, from what you've said she doesn't appear to be hogging the outside lane. It's along time since I've read as much verbal diarrhea as this , how can you say that his girlfriend was as careless as the Supra driver - you need your bloody head examined. It sounds like the Supra driver was driving like a complete maniac with no consideration for other road users and there would never be any excuses for the way he drove. God help other motorists if you ever did get one!
  17. They don't really have much in common with a Supra road car though, or do they?
  18. From what I've read since I got my car is that you'll only need a boost controller on a UK spec car, when you decat and put a decent exhaust on a J spec the boost will go up enough without any further help. I wouldn't bother with an intake system, they'll sound nice but most suck in air from the warm engine bay unless you have a cold air intake. Most give bad filtration which isn't good, just keep the standard air box. Approximate prices are Decat £300 Exhaust £450 Fuel cut defender £80 Fuel pump £95 Plugs £11 - £65 Boost gauge £60 -£200
  19. You could have said this earlier then. Been outside twice to check.
  20. I'm a little confused, do you want "Ring Gear Size" or "Differential Type"
