  1. I agree , I would love to get some new wheels. Just cannot really afford to get any for quite a while!
  2. Has anyone fitted longer wheel studs, the previous owner fitted new alloys with 5mm spacers. I really should fit longer studs, the nuts are only going on about 4 full threads - about 7mm. On the front does the brake dust cover prevent them from being pushed out, I'm not sure if there is a cut out somewhere? Not sure about the rear. Has anyone fitted these, advice appreciated. Thanks
  3. Thanks Terry, Ibrar is going to have a look on Monday to see what he's got.
  4. I think they do M12 x 1.5 thread I've just ordered some McGard locking wheel nuts
  5. Fuel pump not supplying enough fuel, have you upgraded? The TRL fcd's can be adjusted, someone else will I'm sure tell you more.
  6. I've decide I better get some longer wheel studs, the previous owner fitted it with some Kahn RSR's but they need a 5mm spacer to go over the UK brakes. I've done a search on here , someone recommended this place: http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=731_735 I cannot see any suitable on their website, I only want ones approx 5mm longer. Will I be able to get some this size or will I have to shorten longer ones? Are there any other places that do them? I'm not sure whether to bash then out using a copper drift or to make a tool to push them out, any idea's? Thanks
  7. lol It's not that obvious really.
  8. Are you pushing it in the right direction. Push in the clip and move the wiper blade assembly down the wiper arm first towards the grill infront of the windscreen, it will become obvious then.

    How much.....

Very expensive, someone on here did it! You'll need loads of other bits for a start , ecu , flywheel , clutch , pedals and loads of other things.
  10. I've got the Kahn RS-R 18 x 8.5 over the UK brakes. They just clear with the aid of 5mm spacers, trouble is that the you have 5mm less thread holding the nuts on. I was just looking at mine the other day , I might get some longer wheel studs from somewhere!
  11. Too many cars and idiots on the road now.
  12. You can get some very low finance deals. Just go between Stealers and play one off against the other. I know someone that's just got a 4 wheel drive and they mentioned halves and thirds, something to do with getting a new vehicle off them every few years. They got quoted a price per month for the vehicle and they said it was too much, the stealer asked them how much they wanted to pay. They haggled this way, it's surprising how flexible they can be. I've heard it's also best to visit the stealer at the end of the month, you're more likely to get a good deal as the salesman will want to sell a few more cars to meet his monthly targets.
  13. Without, it just looks a little too much with the spoiler fitted. You could get it painted anyhow and just rest it on the back end to see what it looks like.
  14. Another tip that someone gave me was to pull off the tube that goes into the pressure sensor ©, put a couple of inches of new tube onto the pressure sensor ©. Then fit your T piece between the two free ends. That way you can avoid cutting into the existing tubing on the car and can remove the boost gauge and stuff and put it back to stock if you want to!
  15. Can't you think of anything better! Nothing to do with religion, just respect for a decent old man.
  16. That's right, but not many have done as much as him in promoting peace and goodwill etc. No tragedy at all, nice to show a bit of respect though just like you would with anyone that has just died. Typical of the news nowadays , saves them the effort in looking for other stories.

    ecu

Engine bay, fuse box near passenger side, remove both EFI fuses for 30 seconds or more. One of the fuses does the job, can't remember which one. Just remove both.
  18. Pathetic saying something like that, not in good taste! Of course your just joking, but is that all you can say? There's always at least one person!
  19. Very sad ,even though it was expected for quite a while now. Not very nice watching him deteriorate over the past few years.
  20. Like the title says: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=324&item=5555039167 He's also selling this 1993 TT, is he a member on here? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18290&item=4540161562&rd=1

    mpg

    Assuming you've got a J spec - 70l - 15 gallon capacity That equates to 7.3 - 8.7 Mpg. That is low!
  22. There's a lot of rubbish stuff around. Like Nic says if you can, return it and get some from the Terminator Group - they are proven to be good! By any chance do you have the facelift headlights?
  23. I regularly leave the car with the alarm on for a week or so and it starts okay. The battery definately should have lasted more than 18 months though. Maybe if the car hadn't been used much before the week which it wasn't then it wouldn't have been fully charged. I bought a new battery last year and it has a fairly high capacity which is always worth it if it's not going to be used as often!
