  1. Why! They look stupid, just get a big plate instead!
  2. That's a relief, I was just thinking that they might have forgotten to put it on at all! You have to twist it around like you said , I'm not sure if the plate would have gone back on with the gearbox in!
  3. It's very easy to take this plate off and turn it around, you can do it from the inside of the car and would only take a few minutes!

I think it's mostly the brakes that people want. No need to mess with injectors and cams for most people, BPU is enough for most. Nice to have leather though! Which I've got!
  5. The max width is just short of 52".

    Phobias

Don't like big spiders with long legs that you sometimes find in the house, they're bl**dy quick. Normal size ones are okay, I'll just pick them up to put them out. Even worse when you find one in the bedroom and go to get something to take it outside, come back and cant find it - Sh*t! :eek2:

All the UK cars came with big brakes. On the J spec car some had the big brakes and some didn't. Worth baring in mind because it's not cheap to upgrade if you decide to.

Doesn't matter , they're both good. Just consider that the insurance will be more for an import. Look at the condition of the car, good and bad ones in both UK and imports. I haven't read anything on here about anyone regretting getting one instead of the other!
  9. It's not easy to understand the question.
  10. LOL. I've done it this way before, the torque wrench wouldn't go low enough and it was something fairly critical on a car I was working on years ago. I didn't want to guess.

  13. Very useful Torque wrench settings aswell Thanks
  14. Exactly, if some people can't be bothered to do a search why should you bother to give them an answer. We can all recognise these simple basic questions. The search button is great, you can get everyones view on a topic that has come up over a long period so the answers are going to be much more balanced and valuable.
  15. And Brown Brothers, best to give them a ring first Brown Brothers 174-176, Lancaster Rd North, Preston, Lancashire PR1 2QL Tel: 01772 258101 Use Google, Yellow pages etc Very Easy
  16. The NGKBKR7E(6097) will be fine on your car, some say they don't last as long as Denso's but at that price you can afford to change them more often. They're a good price at this place for a set of 4 http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/236
  17. £10.43 for 6 NGKBKR7E(6097) at Brown Brothers Motor Factors They're suitable for a BPU car. Not sure what type you've been trying to get!
  18. The larger wedge type indicator bulb that you want in silver aren't that popular, don't think silvatec do them. When you see pics of them you cannot get any idea of the scale and it's easy to order the smaller 501 type by mistake!
  19. If you want some good quality stainless mesh then try this place: http://www.espdesign.co.uk/udp.asp?cat=7&subcat=diy&make=&model=&udp=893
  20. Might be easier getting a custom rear seat made, you can get at least 2" for the legs, also make the backrest and the base thinner. Easy for Gibson and Boyne retrimming service!
  21. Just found this pic. Darker would look much better!
