  1. By the way the polls are going most people don't think so!
  2. Quite a few differences, for a start the turbo's and the injectors. You might get a more concise answer if you give a reason for wanting to know!
  3. How else do you pay for things if you start giving tax reductions, the money has to come from somewhere? What about the Conservatives giving less money to the NHS, then if you need for example a hip operation you could end up having to pay half! I don't know why anyone could think the Conservatives or any party for that matter would do any better because they wouldn't!

    winning the lottery

Lamborghini Murcielago in yellow. DB9 in black. Keep the Supra. I enjoy working on the car so I could buy all the bits I've ever wanted and more! Large house with a garage for 10 cars, fully equipped workshop! Big donation to build a new cat and dog shelter!
  5. I agree, the gunmetal car looks nice with titanium wheels!

    crap traction

You know you need RLTC! Gives you much more confidence especially in the wet. Without it you can easily lose traction when you're not using full throttle in the dry which happened to me, definately gives you a fright! The launch control on the RLTC is great fun. I had it set at about 3000rpm, press the throttle and it holds it at that - just let the clutch out and you absolutely rocket away. You can here the engine misfiring slightly to maintain traction which it does!
  7. Labour I don't know why you think the Conservatives would do any better, maybe we need a different system and have a combination of poilicies. Each political party will do things that you agree with and others that you dont, it all depends on where your priorities are!
  8. If you contact Chris Wilson and ask about the restrictor plate it might be worth mentioning that you're from Texas. Not sure about the cost of getting one shipped from the UK , he might just give you the dimensions that you need! I'm sure he won't mind me giving you his contact details, he's definately the person to ask.
  9. I'm not sure if they will know what you're talking about, it's a thin stainless plate that fits between the muffler flanges. I'm not sure what size aperture you'll need . Most of us on here got our restrictor plates from Chris Wilson, he's a member on here and is very knowledgeble when it come to the technical stuff. He could either supply you with a restrictor plate or tell you the dimensions. It's best to send him an email rather than a private message! [email protected] Two very nice cars!
  10. Hi and welcome! I think this was meant to read "The boost controller will only increase, not decrease boost". Like terribleturner said, you just need a restrictor plate. Most of us over here like to restrict the boost on our JDM TT's to 1.2 bar, when you fit a bigger bore exhaust and remove the catalysts then the boost will increase substantially. There isn't normally any need for a boost controller as it will only increase boost. The best place to fit the restrictor plate is after the decat pipes(down pipes) as this will keep the build up of heat away from the turbo's . When I fitted the restrictor plate it did keep it down to 1.2 bar, recently it's been going to 1.3 bar. I really need to fit another one with a smaller aperture, it's a bit trial and error really! I'm surprised you're not hitting fuel cut though. You also need to make sure you've got some decent spark plugs fitted or it could start misfiring. Denso IK24's are good but not cheap! NGK BKR7E(6097) are much cheaper but need to be changed more often, over here they're about 1/5 the price of the Denso. It must get pretty hot over there at times, also worth making sure that your interccoler is in good shape. I'm sure others will tell you more!
  11. LOL I'm sure the dog is okay!
  12. £150 I suppose we shouldn't be surprised! At least we know now - Thanks Maybe an internal aerial that works good might be better!
  13. You need to pull off the plastic sill cover, pull it up right along the sill and then remove it all together.
  14. Mathematically speaking it can never be considered fully charged, but it will get very close! It will take an infinite ammount of time! Here's a nice graph and table showing charge voltage plotted against RC. http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/capacit.htm
  15. If you could source a good quality aerial to replace the ugly one that's on the car, the one on the Merc SL is very nice! I'm sure this would be very popular!
  16. Here's the few I know about . http://www.nationalbreakers.com/home.asp?t=1 http://www.dewsburyautosalvage.com/ http://www.euroautosalvage.co.uk/salvage.htm http://www.partsgateway.co.uk/ http://www.breakerlink.com/index.php http://www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk/breakers.aspx http://autotrader.find-a-part.com/
  17. Why are you assuming that the postman tried to deliver a NIP, it could be anything !
  18. I didn't have to sign for one that came in the post a few months ago, a relative of mine got caught by a fixed camera . It just came with all the other post, definately no recorded delivery!.

    Tracker

I've got a GSM Alarm Monitoring System + GPS Vehicle Locating System http://www.spy-equipment.co.uk/GSM_Alarm/gsm_alarm.html You put a sim card in the unit so you can communicate with it via yourphone by ringing it up. I can switch 2 circuits in the car to immobilse it if it's stolen. I can listen in and speak if I want to, it's got a mic and speaker. I can obtain the cars exact coordinates which I can give to the Police or I can input them on a map on the internet to locate it myself. It monitors whether the vehicle is in motion or at rest (via ignition sense) and whether car alarm system is activated or deactivated
  20. £500 is very reasonable for an alarm and tracker. Nice to be able to get the car back if it gets stolen, it wouldn't be easy finding another one to replace it!

    New Pope

Joseph Ratzinger. I think he was the favourite, they didn't take very long then.
  22. Manufacturing jobs have been on the decline for years, nothing to do with Labour. We cannot compete with cheap overseas labour. The only way would have been to subsidise manufacturing which you cannot keep doing. Something had to be done to encourage motorists not to use their cars, but there isn't any alternative in my opinion. Public transport hasn't improved! I never knew that they took the right away for our armed forces personel to vote, can't understand that . I don't think it matters who's in power they'll never please everyone.
