  1. Maybe the car in the showroom was an auto, instead of ordering another one because they didn't want to wait they've just taken that. I was very surprised to see how many auto's there are, must've been something to do with availability! On most cars now you pay more for the auto, I wonder if this was the case with Supra?
  2. Bloody idiot! "They have been arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury and also on allegations of attempting to pervert the course of justice" Definately got something to hide!
  3. The former boxing world champion Prince Naseem Hamed was arrested yesterday after a man was seriously injured in a crash with his sports car. Mr Hamed's car was involved in a crash with a golf and a Mondeo He was being questioned last night with two other men on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving an injury and allegations that they attempted to pervert the course of justice. The 31-year-old was arrested after his Mercedes Benz car was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf and a Ford Mondeo in Sheffield earlier. The injured driver was trapped in the Volkswagen and had to be airlifted to the Northern General Hospital, with a suspected broken leg and fractures to both arms. A female passenger in the car also received cuts and bruises in the crash. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "As a result of a road collision, three men have been arrested and taken into custody. A 31-year-old and two 26-year-olds are helping us with our inquiries. They have been arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury and also on allegations of attempting to pervert the course of justice." The crash, which the spokesman described as "complicated", happened at around 2.30pm. Naseem and the two 26-year-olds were arrested at a house near to the scene of the crash. Police said they were trying to establish who was driving the car. He said one of the 26-year-old men under arrest had been taken to hospital, after suffering from chest pains. The occupant of the Mondeo is not thought to have been seriously injured in the crash.
  4. I might just whip off the whole bumper and get that done!

    Tesco 99Ron

Only available in feckin South East for now, Tesco's are testing the response!
  6. Looks really good, might give it a go! Barcoated???
  7. I've only painted the horizontal bit that was in the bumper aperture which was removed when I got the car. Yeah I know, the 1 pack laquer and cellulose is old hat. Thought it would be okay for the front lip though.
  8. Is this practical for anyone accept a bodyshop though? Would like to get the full bumper done really, just haven't got the funds at the moment!
  9. I wasn't sure of the name of the place where I got it, just checked on the net and it was Autopaint. Maybe I need to try another supplier! Ta
  10. I'm going to paint my from bumper lip, the previous owner had scratched the bits on the side. I bought some red cellulose paint from my local body shop which I've mixed with the thinners. The horizontal piece which was in the bumper aperture was removed ages ago so I practised on this. I've applied the paint with my quality airbrush and then lacquered it with a can but the colour match isn't perfect but the finish was really good. I'm not sure if I should try elsewhere for some more paint, can you get any decent stuff on the net? Is it possible to get a really good match? I'm going to see if I can get some U-pol 1K clear coat , thought this would be better than the normal Halrauds stuff! Any ideas? Thanks
  11. Yes it is, they're recommended for the BPU car - working well on mine!
  12. Yes they are the correct ones. Some of us prefer to buy the NGK plugs, I got a set of 6 for £10.43 NGKBKR7E(6097) at Brown Brothers Motor Factors. They aren't supposed to last quite as long as the Denso's but I much prefer to put new NGK ones in more often.
  13. Better filtration and you have a cold air intake, most aftermarket air intake systems will be sucking warm air from the engine bay and the filtration is worse which isn't good!
  14. Didn't want anyone else to get the idea. I've been looking for some parts for ages now, didn't want any competion if the projector I'm looking for ever appears on Ebay! I've got some superb HID bargains on Ebay, a pair of Hella ballasts and Philips D2S bulbs for £6 delivered.(from a 2004 car) Did you get your parts from a salvaged vehicle? I bought a Supra headlamp from the local scrapyard which I've been experimenting with, I'm surprised there's going to be enough room to fit the adaptive HID lights. I was going to do a post with all the info and pictures after it was all done, looks like your going to beat me to it with an even better setup with the adaptive lighting.
  15. Are you fitting them to the Supe or the Range Rover?
  16. I've had a feckin virus for seven weeks now! Hope you feel better soon!
  17. I wasn't trying to park it. I'm sure you don't need to be told how to avoid scraping them!
  18. Best to mount the kerb fully to avoid scraping them! (just buckle them instead) Did this in the van a few weeks ago, kerb must have been sticking out though!
  19. I've been ignored a couple of times, make me a little reluctant to wave first. Areshole though!
  20. What's kerb damage? Aren't you supposed to drive on the road?
  21. Where exactly is the sticky stuff? I normally use methylated spirits, it helps if you warm it up a little with a hairdryer.
  22. This might be an obvious point, but did you have the car level?
  23. One of the guys on http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk posted this: "Just called my local tesco in scotland .they called back to say..... Tesco are selling 99octane fuel in the south east of england on a trial basis to gauge customers reactions, they are loosing the lrp pumps which they will replace with 99 octane if reactions are good!!!! so get buying it !" I didn't know that Shell will be replacing Optimax with V-POWER 99 octane!
