  1. http://photobucket.com Is good!
  2. LOL Anyway it should be bulkhead , not firewall! Too much American Hotrod!
  3. Of course I know of this fuse box, when you mentioned firewall the engine bay came to mind. Didn't think there was one in the engine bay on the right!
  4. If you want to, don't if it's too much bother though! I cannot see anything in that position on mine.
  5. Somehow I don't think this poll is going to be very representative!
  6. What fuse box, I coudln't see it ?
  7. If it's not too difficult!
  8. So has mine. Not very often though, I'm sure there isn't anything wrong. I've heard of this happening to a few on here!

    Gutted!

Definately, he'll be cheaper and know's what he's doing from what I've read. I wouldn't trust Toyota with it.
  10. Isn't this the worst thing you can do, then you'll want a TT for certain.
  11. I can only think that the pistons were corroded and so have jammed in when you pushed them back, I've never had this problem neither! What about putting the old pads back in and fixing the caliper back in place ( you need to restrict the pistons coming all the way out) and then turning the engine on so you've got servo assistance - then stamp hard on the brakes! Cannot really think of anything else without looking at them.
  12. A local builder who was worried about leaving his van full of gear outside his house looked for the toughest scumbag in the area and threatened to break his legs if anything happened to his van. It worked for him but it's got to be convincing , maybe find someone else to do it!
  13. 3 nuts or bolts just infront, I've got to push the bonnet down firmly on the passenger side to get the catch to lock!
  14. There is some adjustment on the catches but not much, 3 nuts or bolts! Sometimes you just need to push the bonnet down hard for the latch to lock in place which it might not be doing now. I spent ages trying to get mine just right, just couldn't get it right. With the bonnet having two catches it could well be just held in place by one and the other isn't locking which isn't all that obvious.
  15. Is the rubber gasket in place still? Are you seeing any leaks from the cap or just hearing it? The radiator cap has a pressure rating and when it is exceeded it will allow water to come out through the rubber pipe and run onto the ground. It acts as a safety pressure valve and you wouldn't expect it to operate normally, your water temp and so pressure could be getting too high! Mine is rated at 108kpa, don't fit another cap on from another car that has a different rating!
  16. Don't like the wide slot around the numberplate in the veilside one though!
  17. Trial one is much nicer though!

    Tesco 99Ron

Isn't this because Optimax only guarantee 95 min Octane as it's supposed to degrade over time! Not sure about Tesco's 99 ron So this could be a difference of 4 Ron

    Tesco 99Ron

Simon meant: Tesco 99 ron minus Optimax 98 ron = 1
  20. If you reduce engine power then you'll have less exhaust gas flow so the turbo's won't turn as quickly so you'll have less boost. The revs of the engine will have dropped when you lost traction but will go up again when you regain traction so the boost will go up again.
  21. The stock traction control is crap and drastically cuts the power from the engine(especially in the wet) and this will reduce boost. Just like taking your foot off the accelerator.
  22. Likewise! Sounds fantastic especially in enclosed spaces, can't remember how much quieter it was with the baffle in though!
  23. Maybe you should get someone else to do it! This article might help, from mkiv.com. They're fitting a FMIC, but they do show you how to remove the SMIC - Left hand drive car. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/greddy_fmic_manual/greddy3row.pdf
