  1. You must have seen his website, a couple of cars for sale. This one is £7500 http://www.purplepony.info/id11.html I remember seeing his website on here months ago, if you find out his user name you could do an advanced search on here to see if any posts were made regarding the car .
  2. I bought these front indicators, been on the car 8 months - okay so far. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14763&item=7974150770&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Bare in mind you might need a new wiring harness from Toyota as they use the wedge type bulb. I like the smilies!
  3. HID's only work on the low beam unless you've got Bi-Xenon headlights. You could put them in the high beam but flashing them will substantially reduce their life and you would blind oncoming road traffic. The recent group buy provided kits which gave better results than an earlier one which I and others wasted our money on. If you want a kit, this one was okay: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35689&highlight=hid The only thing with HID's is that they weren't designed for halogen headlamps but have been adapted to fit, I'm going to do it better next time! This steering lock is okay, it fits the Supra. http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/products.html
  4. Some here, North East Motor Salvage have one for certain but there isn't a great deal left. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35055&highlight=salvage
  5. Good for on the road fun, not sure for serious 1/4 mile runs though! Like Jake said you probably just need some decent tyres. All it does is hold the revs at a fixed set level, which is good fun. For instance I've got mine set at 3000rpm. I stop the car and then press the launch button, put your foot on the accelerator - press it down anyway from 3000rpm to the redline and it will hold it at 3000rpm. Let the clutch out and you're off!!!!! The RLTC is great at sensing the wheelspin and controling engine power to reduce it.
  6. Yes it's got a lip. What's the switch used for, you might be able to replace it with a smaller better looking one? You're safe with 12V .
  7. I wouldn't bother disconnecting the battery Yes! Yes! Yes! The black switch will be larger than the hole you have to make and so will hide any nasty rough edges
  8. Maybe he didn't have all 6 gears working before.
  9. If you cannot see the water dripping out of the engine externally ,need to check water pump leaks, radiator and overflow tank, water pipes. Also the heater matrix which is behind the dashboard on the passenger side can leak. Then I would suspect the cylinder head, you normally get mayonnaise type gunge accumulating under the oil filler cap and on the dipstick. If you're losing a lot of water you'll get steam coming out of the exhaust when the engine is hot, also you'll lose power from the engine.

    Mesh question?

Depends on whether you want to make it neat or not. Best to remove the bumper, I used hot glue and silicone. I put my mesh at the back of the bumper opening behind the edges, the mesh edges cannot be seen on mine. There isn't much space to conceal fixings but I'm going to do it even better next time.
  11. The pins on my front left were extremely tight aswell, just kept hitting it with a bolster hammer. When the pin diappeared inside the caliper I used a thin steel rod to keep hitting it with the hammer. Be aware that hitting it with a hammer can fatten the end and make it worse! It was too tight for self locking pliers, maybe using a claw hammer to lever it out with a wooden block under the hammer head. When it eventually came out I sanded it down to remove the corrosion which caused the problem and then give it a coating of copper grease before I put it back in. AFAIK you don't need to repace the caliper bolts.
  12. I've just taken mine off to get painted - £300 , good work from them in the past.
  13. Like others have said, you'll probably need to wind back the handbrake adjuster. Can't remember which way to turn it, just turn it and if it tightens up then turn it the other way. By doing this you'll avoid causing any unwanted damage. Putting some bolts in the threaded holes should push the disc off nicely.
  14. Mine are hard aswell, need to get some new ones for next time. It helps a lot if you heat them up with a hot hairdryer.

    Wheels

There was some Racing Harts sold by someone on here recently, one of best looking wheels I've seen so far. They were 19", not sure what the 18" ones would be like.
  16. Cheers Dash, I'll give this a go. I was worried that the files were too big to put on a floppy. The reason why I want to format the hard disk and start again is: I cannot access my MSN Hotmail at all, when I try to do this I get this coming up: How to get to Hotmail Hotmail does not support the .NET Passport you are signed in to. There are two ways you can get to Hotmail: 1.If you already have a Hotmail account, you can sign out of your .NET Passport and sign in using your Hotmail account. 2.If you do not have a Hotmail account, you can sign out of your .NET Passport and visit the Hotmail Web site for information or to set up a free account. So when I click on link 1. it brings up the sign in window for .NET passport, so presumably I'm not signed in. I haven't got a clue how to sign out, I wish I could disable .NET passport altogether. I haven't changed any settings to cause this, don't know if it was an automatic update or something.
  17. Doesn't work for me, before it can install XP it asks for additional drivers which I have on a CD. But it only gives the option(which you cannot change) of inserting a floppy. There must be a way to format the hard disc and have the CD and floppy drives still working, I could do this on ME by booting from the Startup disc. Any ideas?
  18. Cheers imi, I'll give it a go.
  19. I've got feckin problems accessing stuff on the computer, I've tried to do a fix but I'm going around in circles. I've decided to do a clean install and reformat the hard disc to get rid of everything. I'm running XP, I've created a startup disc which I boot-up from. It's giving me the A> prompt, but when it boots up from the disc it's not installing the CD driver and the Format file isn't present neither.(It used to work okay with ME and it's startup disc) How do I format the hard drive and get the CD drive working so I can reinstall XP? Thanks
  20. You can get to the oil filter from above , no need to move anything!
  21. When you buy parts from a trader some of them give you a basic price + VAT, the VAT goes to the Government. The buyer is paying the VAT indirectly, so if he lives in another country he shouldn't have to pay anything to someone elses Government . Most traders would have to be VAT registered and so do this, but I thought this was for new vehicles only. Surely the VAT was already paid when the vehicle was bought new or imported into this country. Too complicated!!!!!!!!
  22. This is changing, the stock airbox has a cold air intake which is better and the filter will provide much better filtration than one you would get with an induction kit.
  23. It's definately an auto. You can change manually on the steering wheel but you can also change manually on a conventional auto gearbox by moving the selector.
