  1. Funny, I'll let someone else say it's a repost though!
  2. Silver one looks nicer, the red one looks horrible with that bumper and the orange indicators. I'm just waiting for the remarks to come about red cars , they look really nice when they're looked after and polished though. Personally I wouldn't buy a modded car as you haven't got any idea if it's been thrashed! For that sort of money you could get a really nice VVTI.
  3. The facelift indicators also incorporate the side lights aswell, the lense is clear but there is a orange plastic piece which goes over the indicator bulb on the inside. The pre-facelift indicators have an orange lense.
  4. When filling, make sure the heater is on and at max temp. You'll probably need the ignition on. I'll edit this, you need to have the heater on full so when you're filling with coolant it also reaches the heater circuit. Don't think this will work with the ign off though.
  5. Push something in where the bulb goes and break it free, it's only held on by 1 screw.(It is orange) Then reach in with long nose pliers to breaks it into small pieces which will come out.
  6. You're right, they won't fit any other car neither because there's no such thing as a HID bi-xenon bulb. I have to disagree with the rating of the bulbs though Nic, the best illumination comes with the 4300K and as you go higher your illumanation will decrease. But like Nic says there is a lot of crap stuff around, do some searching and buy a kit that uses ballasts that the car manfacturers use aswell.
  7. Bi-xenon as you know come on some Mercs and other cars, they're the whole headlight assembly. They use one bulb and ballast per side, when you put the main beam on a mechanical flap will move inside the headlight unit to give you the main beam output. On the Supra you could use 2 separate kits to give you dipped beam and main beam, but flashing the main beam on and off will drastically reduce their life as they aren't designed for this.
  8. It is easy to do, no need to put it in the oven! Easier with some long nose pliers.
  9. Bet he's shitting himself right now waiting for the verdict!
  10. That was really difficult, you'll have to be quick. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18427&item=7978271349&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW And the rest http://search.ebay.co.uk/haynes-renault-18_W0QQfromZR8QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsojsZ0

    Decals

Someone could've posted the link! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=3339 Don't like them, sorry!
  12. Same with the large I section beams in these sky scrapers, the bolts pull the mating surfaces together but the friction between the girders holds them in place. The bolts are subjected high tensile forces and very little shear! Best to have the rings though so the wheel nuts can be located easier which will also prevent hole elongation. Especially important when some idiot is putting your wheels on too tight with an air gun.
  13. Make sure they supply 4 hub centric rings aswell that will fit the Supra. Go for 18" wheels, best compromise between handling and looks!
  14. Best to shop around, plenty of places on here and the net . Try Ibrar Jabbar at Pro Alloys, he's a member on here http://www.Pro-Alloys.co.uk You can get them sent to you with tyres fitted and balanced so you just need to put them on the car.
  15. No, it doesn't work. Wait for Jake!
  16. Ignore - didn't work I'm sure Jake will find it!
  17. They'll probably disconnect the speedo! I hate leaving it aswell, when I got the Mot last time I stayed with car and I've never left it anywhere. I would trust the people on here but knowone else.
  18. To be honest I'm too busy looking at the road when accelerating from being stationery and in 1st gear. You should feel the extra pull anyhow and your boost will go up significantly when the second turbo comes online. Just look at the revs and at 4000-4500 you'll feel the difference!
  19. I've got it aswell! It started late Feb, I had a week off early on and I did start to feel better and so went back to work but towards the end of the working week I started to feel crap again. I've been off 3 separate weeks in total, each time I was starting to feel better and so went back to work only to feel unwell again. I decided to stay off now until I get over it. Went to see the Doctor again last week, he said if you do too much it can put back your recovery time. I asked how long it would last, he said how long is a piece of string! I'm self-employed so don't get sick pay, I got the forms to claim Incapacity Benefit. Filling these forms in is even worse than having the Glandular Fever! :thumbdown
  20. How does the Supra compare to the Ferrari F355?
  21. Not sure if I would want to keep the car even if it had been in an accident and someone forgot to put the VIN plate back on.You might have problems selling it in later on aswell. Best to get your money back. If the seller is refusing to do this then mention that if he doesn't you're going to get Trading Standards and the Police involved. I'm sure he'll cough up rather than get his business investigated. I had a van which didn't have a VIN plate, I think it must have had some frontal damage. The MOT bloke refused to test it without one. I didn't have any problems getting one made up by someone on the net, didn't even need the registration document.
  22. I would be careful if you're thinking about getting a complete aerial. When I took the original aerial off my car it appeared to be shorter than these aftermarket ones. The Toyota one is quite a tight fit with not much extra space beneath it in the wing. Some of these aftermarket ones aren't very good quality, much better to just replace the mast! I'm almost sure this one on Ebay won't fit
  23. No need for that at all! :thumbdown Exactly!
  24. It's a common problem, most likely the toothed plastic that's inside the aerial has snapped. Buy a replacement mast from Toyota. Remove the nut on the aerial, switch on the radio and it should push out the mast together with the plastic toothed rod. The end piece should be tapered, just need to check its all come out- compare with the new one. If it hasn't all come out you'll have to remove the complete aerial and take it out. Start to feed in the new mast, not sure which way the toothed bit should be orientated (check old one), get someone to switch the radio off and it will pull the mast back in and then put the nut back on. Good luck with the car!
