  1. I'm looking to buy a computer monitor for home use. I've presently got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 720 which has got a good pic but sometimes the picture just fades away and I'm having to thump it to keep it working. I was thinking about replacing it with a standard CRT monitor, this one caught my eye - Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454 - 19" about £230. Just been looking on this other forum and quite a few people have had problems with distorted and blurry edges on the screen, don't know what to do now? I think the CRT's are still supposed to give better pics than most TFT's, but a TFT's is much more energy efficient. Any recommendations, I'm just going around in circles - around £230 17" or 19" -
  2. Isn't Dot 5.1 an evolution of Dot 4.0 and isn't Dot 4.0 an evolution Dot 3.0 and therefore they are compatible and can be mixed? Saying that, it still would be nice to drain the old fluid out and put some new stuff in.
  3. 65 views and not one reply! It looks very nice, sitting low! I like the standard front bumper.
  4. Only kidding you with the mmHg. The pressure in the rear may infact be a little low. There isn't any clear answers to this question as everyone has different views. The question gets asked all the time, unfortunately this is why there isn't many repies. Best to do a search and then maybe go with with some sort of average value.

  6. The highest bidder bought these plimsolls for £50 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=312&item=5396812007
  7. Yeah , but they were designed that way. Supra's were not! I prefer the near standard look, the lights wouldn't look as good as they do on a Corvette or Ferrari 360 though!
  8. Make them like the facelift ones, they look nice on a red car and will look more modern. Painting them red inside will make them look cheap and horrible! :thumbdown
  9. There's some calipers on Ebay aswell http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10428&item=4556560079&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10428&item=4556555976&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
  10. Welcome, car looks nice! 23,000 miles, that is low!
  11. You can fit the UK spec brakes. it's very popular but not particularly cheap. If you want to keep your existing setup you can fit some fast road pads, available from Chris Wilson (on here). The UK car which is a TT came with the bigger brakes. The import TT came with the smaller brakes or the bigger brakes (UK spec)
  12. They don't mind sending them to the UK!
  13. Very handy, JohnA posted it a few weeks ago.

  15. Check the dia of the bulb housing and the "O" ring size first to make sure it will push in. Cant remember the sizes. I think the 9005 is smaller than the 9006. Maybe compare it with a normal bulb. There isn't much difference between the tags on the 9005 and 9006, you could just trim the tags. Bare in mind that this could change the orientation of the bulb, on authentic HID headlights the external wire on the bulb is at the 6 '0' clock position. There're some good kits available and some crap ones, best to get a recommendation from someone on here if you need to take it back and get another one from elsewhere!

  17. Good luck, definately cannot let someone get away with that even it was a much smaller amount. Didn't think that was possible with Paypal!
  18. Exactly! I find it difficult to believe he wasn't guilty of something.
  19. I think he's guilty of doing some stuff he shouldn't, just hope they get to the truth of what happened if it's possible.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised if he walks like O.J. Simpson! :thumbdown

    stereo system

Why doesn't the blind go right up to the back seat, is that because some cars had a sub-woofer in the boot. It's irrates me when things roll forward and are in view!
  22. You can buy kits for chrome plating at home, don't know what there like though !
  23. Maybe the insurers insisted you use this place because it's cheap, if you don't get any satisfaction then definately pursue it further . There must be some sort of ombudsman , there's no reason why you should except crap work like this.
