  1. Carlos, has the clonking you were getting while braking gone now?
  2. http://www.isotta.com/eng/prodotti.php?idparent=1&picture=31&over=1&overdown=31
  3. Much easier to have an alarm connected to the central locking to do this for you, the key fob with the alarm is used for arming/dis-arming and at the same time locking/un-locking.
  4. Probably , you're making me vommit!
  5. Hi Go to your local Toyota dealer, give them your model number and chassis number which are on your vin plate (drivers wing). They can supply parts for post 96 imported cars . Halfords can get them aswell , they have a catalogue for imported cars. Also from the traders on here.
  6. An auto gearbox isn't better for this sort of car, what a load of crap. But those who have the auto say it is a good gearbox and works well.
  7. Not sure if it would be necessary, you shouldn't need to supply it more current to justify having a separate circuit.
  8. I removed an upper ball joint a couple of weeks ago, used this tool and the boot was okay. I wouldn't use the wedge type tool. I think you just have to be careful sliding it into place, just make sure it doesn't have any sharp edges.
  9. I've got the UK brakes. When I first considered doing this I removed the wheel to have a look and I didn't think it was possible either, thought I would have to remove the hub aswell. I read on Supraforums that it was possible though, all will become clear when you remove the disc. It was very easy with plenty of clearance. Remove the brake disc I rotated the hub so the stud was at the rear. Squeezed out the stud, plenty of room.
  10. Royal Brunei customer comments Surprising how many say that the seats are shabby and old. Out of all of them on the list, Austrian and Royal Brunei are the safest. AIRLINES - Passenger Opinion Forum
  11. Emirates has not had a fatal passenger event since beginning in 1985 . Aways a first time though!
  12. Yes, you've got them! You definately don't have the anti-rattle springs? Hope the pins come out okay, you're calipers look in good condition though. I couldn't knock all the pins out on mine, had to drill two of them out. Corrosion can be a problem.
  13. Neil, you cannot see from the photo's. The anti-rattle spring sits between the 2 pads, it's held in place by the 2 pins.
  14. Makes you wonder what it is, can't think of anything on the brakes that would case this. I'l see how it goes.
  15. I had the same, when I replaced the stabiliser bar links and then went out for a drive I thought it had gone away but it came back. I've just finished painting the calipers, I took them off and then refitted them. The clunking sound appears to have gone, I'm not convinced it was the brakes as I just put them back together the same way. I don't think I drove the car after doing the links and then the brakes. Did my best to get it to make that noise last week but it wasn't there.
  16. I've got the part numbers but they're only listed for a Aug 94 car onwards, there isn't a listing for a 93 car! Anti-rattle spring 47748-14080 (As shown in pic above) Clip 90468-12021 (These hold the pins in) All the above are sold in pairs.
  17. LOL , simple enough for me to use. I've got Photoshop 7 , too confusing to use for the simple things I do.
  18. The wire clips , same on both side are there to stop the pins from coming out. There's a small hole through the end of each pin, it's fitted as shown in the pic with the middle bit being located in the hole in the caliper. Surely these bits aren't missing?
  19. Shim kit won't do this. You need the spring pushing against the pads. Have you got UK or J spec brakes? Assuming it's the J spec brakes

    fitting decat

A little awkward getting to the nuts on the turbo elbow, on the older cars the studs might break. On one of mine the corners of the nut had been rounded. It's the sort of thing that can be straight forward or a right pain in the arse. I think you have to be prepared to replace a stud if one does break. Fitting the decat pipes is very easy. You really need to put it up on ramps to get good access and to be safe!
  21. Up to you, I connected everything for safety when I did a full re-wire. In most houses all the circuits are connected apart from the lighting circuits. When I did a little search a few years ago , it mentioned that it would be advantageous to have a separate circuit for the freezer so that it wouldn't be protected by the RCCB . This would prevent you from loosing a full freezer full of food in the event of a fault elsewhere in the house. I just had safety in mind when I did my installation, so I protected all of the circuits with the RCCB.
  22. Pity it didn't have a decent bumper fitted!
  23. LOL Never knew that, cheers Jake
