  1. The UK car also has much more inertia to overcome before it even starts to accelerate!

    The Bench

Paint it silver and fix it on the back of the car when you're finished. Some of the cars I've seen recently have a wing just like this!
  3. According to the EPC it does have a bulb.
  4. Stuck on 34 , had enough!
  5. Tiff Needell test-drives the fastest car in the world.
  6. If you haven't already got it then pm me your email address
  7. Check the catch hasn't dropped. Maybe compare it with the one that does work. Try pushing the bonnet down harder, careful you don't dent it.
  8. Try pushing in a horizontal screwdriver to check it's operation first.
  9. This stuff is supposed to be good http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:sduWxIs1EtkJ:www.hammerite.com/ie/products/ug_rust_remover_dip.html+HAMMERITE+RUST+REMOVER+&hl=en
  10. The one on the left has come on because the one on the right is showing a problem. Could be anything in electrical system or engine. Like Pete say's a diagnostic test might give you the answer. You can do the diagnostic test yourself but I can't find the link.

    New Gearbox

The capacity for the 6 speed is 1.9 litres, not sure about the 5 speed. The car needs to be level! Loosen the filler plug on the side of the gearbox, and then loosen and remove the drain plug on the bottom - let the oil drain out. You do it this way so you know you can get the new oil in and you won't be left with a car you can't drive. Refit the drain plug. To fill it, either buy some clear plastic tubing - (make sure it fits in the filler hole and the tubing isn't too narrow) or by a pump. I used the tubing, push it into the filler hole and then up the side of the car. Fit a funnel and then pour the fluid in slowly. Be aware that you might get some air locks, so make sure that you keep pouring until you've used more or less the correct amount. When it's filled to the correct level it will start overflowing from the filler plug anyway. If you've got the 6 speed box, you should only have approx 100ml left of the 2 litres you started with. Refit the filler plug and you're done.

    New Gearbox

No, just 1 litre per tin.

    New Gearbox

    Just short of 2 litres.
  14. Definately! The first time we went we stood just before Bridge corner. You never expect them to be this noisy , thumping and banging as they lifted off the throttle. We were standing there shaking, the fact we didn't have any sleep the night before might have contributed !
  15. Bloody idiots. I wonder if you'll be able to just go through Elephant again and click the button on paying with installments.
  16. You'll not really see that much amongst the front runners, but the slower cars will get over taken at the end of Hangar straight. No overtaking at Becketts but you'll be amazed at how quick the cars come through. A good place is opposite where the pit lane joins the track , during the sessions you'll also see them doing practice starts . Even if you get a grandstand seat you can still walk around the circuit during any of the days from Friday to Sunday and just stand and watch from any location. Last time I stood a liitle further down from Copse, amazing to see how fast they come around. You'll see the Porsche Carrera race on Sunday, they appear to be very slow after watching the F1 cars.
  17. Front decat pipe £150 TRL FCD £82 Spark plugs £12-£60 Walbro fuel pump is a good idea £80 Plus maybe 4-5 hours labour , depends on who does it. Best to contact Chris Wilson or one of the traders on here and ask them, they'll do the best job.
  18. If you want to paint them red then get some Plasti Kote bright red spray , it's much nicer than the Hammerite which I tried aswell. Because the calipers won't be perfectly smooth I used some grey hammered finish spray first and then the bright red. B&Q and Halfords sell the Plasti Kote spray paint. I've never heard of anyone having problems with paint on the calipers melting.
  19. Big fat tyres on the back look nice though!
