LOL Sometimes they have a female model, she was on at the start of the programme . Hopefully again tomorrow! LOL You squeeze the spanner in behind the fat rubbery bit (exactly where the arrow is pointing) - check you haven't got an allen socket in the end first.

Use a 14mm open ended spanner on the old ones to hold them still and then undo the nut (use WD40 first). This design is better than the new ones, the allen key socket is more likely to get filled up with dirt/ rust and consequently chewed up with a badly fitting allen key. They're not difficult to remove, I had to replace mine as the rubber boots had perished.

Hi They are the front ones. The old ones had 14mm flats for a spanner , you can squeeze the spanner in to hold it. (see pic) The new ones had a socket for an allen key.

The 9005/9006 bulbs and also the HID bulb have a sealing 'O' ring fitted. Most headlights are'nt sealed, they have vents installed.

On mine I just removed the existing bulb, fitted the HID one.

The bulb base prevents dirt ingress just like the original bulb.

Mine works okay, little box wired into the speedo. Nothing to identify who makes it though. Looks like there's just a problem on the tiptronic cars and not the manual ones.

If it's just the link , I only paid about £40 each and got them in 2 days from my local dealer. If you want to buy something. Click on the sellers ID and see how long they've been a member , some can accumulate a good feedback in a matter of a few days buying/selling almost worthless items in oder to convince prospective buyers that they're trustworthy. Then they put something expensive up for sale, you send the money and receive nothing! -

The CW SMIC was £632.50 including next day delivery. Very nice and easy to fit, got mine just before Christmas. I think he's still got a couple left, you'll get it quicker than a Toyota one and it's much cheaper.

Thought you were going to bring it across for Chris Wilson to sort out? Much cheaper than getting the 2001 car. I would keep the car you've got and get it fixed, personally I wouldn't like to sell a car that had problems without informing the buyer .This would obviously mean you would get less for the car.
