  1. Volk GT-C Vote in the poll! Need some opinions here aswell, I was set on getting some 18" wheels after reading about the pitfalls of 19" . I'm not too sure now because the 19" ones look fantastic! - bottom pic I know the 19" ones aren't so good for handling/ride etc. I'm not too bothered about flying round twisty roads, straight line performance is good enough for me. Can those of you who've had experience of the 19" wheels give me an idea of what they're really like. Thanks 18" wheels 19" wheels
  2. If you can here the motor doing it's work then it's probably the toothed plastic that runs through the mast which has snapped. New mast about £30. If you don't want to use it again then remove the mast as in the link below. Then push it together, chop off the white plastic toothed bit that is sticking out then refit the mast. Then disconnect the power at the aerial. http://www.mkiv.com/manual/manualtt/antenna_replacement/index.html
  3. Cheaper wheels are generally cast to form the shape. The more expensive ones are generally forged, for the same shape wheel they will be stronger. I got some Alessio wheels for the van, the paint has flaked off in large pieces. I wouldn't expect this with more expensive wheels. If you're not sure about the quality/durability of a particular wheel then ask a few questions on the car forums. Mention salt on the roads etc. I had my heart set on some Racing Harts, turns out they don't look too good when used during the average British winter.
  4. Proper sports cars don't have chrome wheels! Get some 5 spoke wheels, find some for me aswell!
  5. Animals don't deserve to suffer , why should they! There's an awful lot of scumbags that should suffer for the pain and suffering they've inflicted on others, I'll give them the tablets.
  6. They were just talking about these pills on the radio and they said prior to testing them on these people they did a test on a dog and it did die. Not sure if more than one dog was given the tablet.
  7. Unfortunately they said on Radio 2 that they gave one of these tablets to a dog and it did die! Just not fair testing the stuff on defenceless animals. Just because we're superior we don't have any right to inflict suffering and pain on them. We should just test on humans who volunteer for money or murderers, rapists and paedophiles etc.
  8. Swiched over when they started singing happy birthday to the Queen.
  9. Definately too wide. My car came like this, the result was a significant split on the inside sidewall of both front tyres.
  10. The English Professeur was good, his explanations were really clear and interesting. But the German bloke cutting the bodies up wasn't necessary at all, I just looked away.
  11. No problem, I'm sometimes a little sensitive when it comes to animals.
  12. You said “ Put it in the bin” It's so nice that you don't give a toss about it's owner! You obviously don't know what it's like to really care about animals. More than likely the owner won't live too far away. When an animal goes missing it's horrible for the owner not knowing what's happened. . They will appreciate any effort that’s made to return their pet even if had died.
  13. TRD3000GT posted the above , it looks like I did.
  14. If you want a really good one get a "Portasol Super Pro ". I got mine from Ebay, you can either buy the kit or just the basic soldering iron. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Portasol-Super-Pro-Gas-Soldering-Iron-Kit-Snap-em-up_W0QQitemZ7596316094QQcategoryZ106001QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7596316824&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT
  15. I haven't got details of the Do-luck wheels but the Racing Harts are similarly described. It's basically the distance from the flat face on the wheel to the spokes, other dimensions vary aswell. Look at the bottom diagram and table. http://www.hartwheels.co.jp/cat_030218_racinghart_typecr/rhcr_3_spec.htm
  16. I agree, you've got to remember that there might be a concerned owner out there who's lost their cat. It would be nice if some effort was made to trace them.
  17. If that's all you can say then don't bother next time. Very childish!
  18. Bugger, don't know what to do now! I don't use the car during the week as I've got the van so it shouldn't get much exposure to the salt on the roads. Was it just the lip and was the rest of the wheel okay? Thanks for letting me know .
  19. Fecking hell, that's not good. Is that the polished lip then? I've been searching for wheels for bloody ages and I decided on these a while back, cannot find any others I like.

    Joking p/x values

For that reason I would never part ex a car unless it was only worth couple of hundred. I wouldn't but one from a dealer neither unless it was new.
  21. I'm thinking of buying some Racing Hart CR's in 18" . Anyone care to comment on their quality and durability. Is the lip stainless? Any signs of corrosion/tarnishing etc? Thanks http://www.hartwheels.co.jp/cat_030814_racinghart_typecr_monobolock/rh_typecr__top_menu.data_/images/rh_typecr__top_menu_02.gif
