    All Bunged Up!

If you look under the end of the exhaust you'll see a seam in the stainless which is line up with the hole. Align the threaded hole with this seam and carefully slide it in while looking underneath, worked every time for me.

    All Bunged Up!

    I wouldn't be surprised if that's where it's gone.

    All Bunged Up!

Quite a nice sound with it back in, couldn't find mine last time I looked!
  7. Nic The 18's are good, but the 19's are fantastic! I've been looking everywhere on the net for these wheels, the face 2 does look so much nicer. Generally the only reason people get the face 1 on the front is to clear large brakes. The pic below has face "1" front - flat spokes ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,face "2" rear - concave spokes Nic did send me a link from Ray's the other day. Face 1 Face 2 I should make my mind up soon, don't think there's any problem running 9.5" front and rear.
  8. Looks nice. Very sensible to get one that has the air bag fitted.
  9. Another wheel question! I'm looking to get the Volk GT-C in 19". They come in two different faces, face "1" and face "2". Face "1" has flat face spokes - needed at the front to clear the UK brakes. Face "2" has concave spokes - much better looking on the rear. ( Almost eveyone goes for this on the rear). If I go with Ray's Volk recommendations, but I have both Face "1" and "2". They recommend Front 9.5" +46 offset Rear 9.5" +37 offset I thought about going 8.5" at the front but I'm not sure if would clear the brakes, it's got a +39 offset. I know it's not normal to have the same width front and rear but I'll be fitting 245/35 19 at the front, 275/30 19 at the rear. If you're not totally confused by now I would be grateful of any thoughts anyone may have.
  10. Try pushing the button for the glowplugs and get a few mates to give you a push start. If it starts and runs okay then you have one or more bad glowplugs. I had the same problem with the van a few years ago. If you need to replace them, then get some from your local dealer or get some Bosch ones. Don't get any cheap ones as they don't last at all.
  11. It's lacking a specific model search. ie. 2.0 LX 2.0 Zetec 2.0 Zetec S 2.0 Ghia
  12. That does help, thanks very much. I wished they did a larger offset. Just don't know what to do for the best.
  13. Thanks Nic Only one thing, I want to have the face 2 wheel on the back (like in the pic at the start of the thread, it has concave spokes which look nicer) But the tables say I should get a 9.5" rear and not 10.5". The fella who has the quicksilver car is running a 10.5", from the offset tables I've got it's the same as the 9.5" at 37mm. I've sent him pm's and emails to ask about the fitment, but he's not replying even though he's been online. " S]oLiD " on the Australian Supraforums. Don't want a 9.5 at the rear as it wil limit the tyre width.
  14. Hi Nic Do Rays actually recommend a width for the Supra, would you mind sending me the details. Just that I've heard conflicting opinions , a bloke on Supraforums said that Volk recommended a 8.5" & 9.5" for another wheel. I was going to ask you for a price/ delivery time etc, just wanted to 100% sure of the wheel and corresponding tyre sizes first . Thanks
  15. Brilliant! Didn't have a clue how to do it so professinally like that! Can't wait!
  16. After much searching I've decided to get the Volk GT-C in 19" It's available in 8.0", 8.5", 9.5" and 10.5". I'm thinking of going 8.5" front and 10.5" rear. I don't think there's any need to go wider at the front if I use a 245 tyre. The rear at 10.5" should take a 275 tyre min which I might start with incase there's any clearance issues. The 10.5" wheel is available in a 47mm offset, the main question is - will it with a 275 or wider tyre stay under the wheel arch, I don't want it to look stupid. Don't really want to go for a 9.5" rear as it would only take a 275 max. Any thoughts/advice appreciated. Thanks
  17. Stainless won't disipate heat knowhere near aswell as aluminium. Aluminium has a thermal condictivity of approx 15 times that of stainless steel. Also manufacturing costs would be much higher.
  18. Front or back? The handbrake shoes can cause a problem on the rears, they have to be wound back using the adjuster. There's 2 threaded holes on each disc, you can put a couple of bolts in and tighten. This will push off the disc.
  19. Don't think you're supposed to extend them for some reason - read it somewhere, don't know why. I have got a Ai606 aswell, you don't have to be close at all for it to work.
  20. The antenna is a short wire which comes out of the contol unit, probably fitted behind the dashboard somewhere. He must've either cut it off or it's in a bad location.
  21. On those width wheels you could fit 255 front & 275 rear , they'll bulge out a little and give you some protection. Best not to fit too narrow a tyre as the rim will be more exposed. The Goodyear GSD3 and some other tyres have rim protectors- a rubber ridge which helps a little. The ride will be fine, 18" I would say is the most popular size.
  22. According to MVP, about $120 more for the 19" wheels. 18" would be - 18x9" and 18x10" 19" would be - 19x8.5" and 19x9.5" Goodyear GSD3 275 - 19 is about £10 more than a 285 -18 About £40 more for a 19" 245 front. Nic provided me with a good price for the 18's . I'm going to have to decide if I want the 19's first then I might ask for a price.
  23. 5 weeks for me last year, ignored all emails.
  24. That's what I'm thinking. Thanks everyone for your input so far. Wished I could find some better pics of the 18's. I can't help myself and keep returning to the pic of the 19's , don't think I've ever seen anything nicer!
