  1. Definitely use the ITrader to rate them ? You would think so!
  2. Put them in an oven to melt the mastic. Best to do a search, you'll get more info on cooking times etc.

    Supra Turbo Wanted

LOL Unnecessarily quoting such a large piece of text is just as irritating as using all capitals! ( Not you RedM )
  4. I'm 39, don't feel old at all. 11 years to 50 is more frightening! I look young for my age. Some bloody grey hair becoming more obvious though.

I got in first then! I don't think he intended to irritate with the capitals!

    Very, from a moderator aswell!
  7. NOT ANOTHER BLACK ONE! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif Very nice, lovely shine!
  8. Must be very very satisfying getting it sorted! John, have you figured out how the suspension is adjusted. Might have a look under mine while it's lifted up.
  9. Spot on Matt! I decided to remove the length of fuel pipe running to the rear aswell as the still connected filter so I could work on the problem on the bench. I sliced through the fuel pump threaded end using the dremmel so I could remove the union fitting that would normally unscrew. It's exactly as you say, the union fitting has flared out noticeably . There's no way that it could be unscrewed without causing a load more damage. I've decided to replace the rigid fuel pipe that runs to the rear, it was corroding a fair bit under the rear axle. Not sure whether to make up a copper pipe or buy an original from Toyota. What a pain in the arse,it should've been straight forward.
  10. Changing the fuel filter, loosened the front banjo bolt fine. Loosened the rear fitting aswell, it unscrews about 3mm very easily and then it's locked bloody solid and won't move . Anyone had this? Not sure whether to add some more leverage to the flared nut spanner and force it around, don't know if I've got much choice really. (It won't budge with the standard spanner) Bloody typical! I'll wait a while to see if anyone has any a good idea.
  11. Olives aren't designed to be removed, they're compressed onto the pipe when you tighten the nut. You did the right in cutting the pipe. The special pipe cutters are good, they leave you with a slightly chamfered burr-free cut pipe.
  12. I'm happy with mine. Be careful with the stock one when you remove it, it looks to be in very good condition - you could definately sell it for a few quid. I'm not sure of the merits of a FMIC when you've still got the original front bumper.
  13. Leave them ! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif
  14. They must've increased the " Job Seekers Allowance" a fair bit since the last time I was unemployed!
  15. When you use the clutch it's probably just the change in engine speed and not the clutch itself responsible for the noise . Like Scooter said, it could be the crank pulley. Might be worth doing a search on the subject. The garage may well have used a little heat to remove the pulley.
  16. Yes. Take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir before you do this, the level will go up as you push the pistons in. Watch for it overflowing and check the level when you're finished. Make sure you don't disturb the dust covers on the pistons when you lever them in.
  17. Don't think so. The Reg Doc states the colour, not the shade or colour code. It's still grey! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif The colour code is meaningless to the DVLA if it's an aftermarket colour.
  18. You must've tried putting your foot on the brake!
  19. Not sure which traders on here do it. Steve Manley is CJ's local Toyota dealer, he can deliver stuff at a discounted price. Not sure how much the del would be. Or your local Toyota dealer. It's not cheap, about £30 a litre! Don't pour in 2 litres, it takes aprrox 1.8 litres. ( 6 speed box) . Fill the gearbox in the usual way!
  20. It's common, known to be a little agricultural!

    Silly joke

    Very good . LOL
  22. I wouldn't be 100% sure about buying one, you never know if there're any underlying problems with the car. But if the price was right I might well be tempted. The one Jezzybabes has for sale looked nice. I can't imagine that they would be that easy to sell on unless the price was reduced to allow for this.
  23. I wouldn't fancy trying to sell one though .
