    F1 Tribute Vid

That was horrific, I remember watching the qualifying when Roland Ratzenberger had that accident. It's hard to imagine it happening again.
  2. You don't need to use caliper paint. Spray cans from Plasti Kote are good , smooth or hammered finish from B & Q or Halfords. The Plasti Kote red is nicer than the stuff made by Hammerite.
  3. Hope he gets through this okay, very sad to hear this.
  4. Yes, unfortunately there isn't any reason at all why we can't have full size plates on the car.
  5. 1.3 - 1.4 bar boost. I'm not sure about that , might be just a little high for me.
  6. Interesting! My brother sent an email about a week ago and hasn't had a reply yet. He's got the money ready to spend on a VVTI 6 speed. It would be nice to get some pics of the engine, interior and get a full list of the mods done.
  7. Thanks, never thought of it like that. The J spec cars were designed to have a small front plate fitted, the base it mounts on is really too small for a larger one without it bending or breaking at the ends.
  8. Just been pulled over for number plates not conforming, incorrect spacing on the rear and the front plate is too small. Just need to get them sorted so they're legal . The Policeman was a decent bloke, first time I've sat in a volvo . I'm not sure if I can use the smaller font on the front , do these two appoints apply , I'm not sure? I was thinking that 2. might apply, if I was to fit a standard size plate I should really fit the larger mounting bracket which would mean that I would be modifying the car. Certain imported vehicles may be permitted to display number plates with smaller characters if: 1. The vehicle does not have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval AND 2. The vehicle's construction/design cannot accomodate standard size number plates.
  9. I hope the union nut on the inlet isn't competely stuck like mine was. It appears that it was overtightened in the factory and bottomed out in the female thread on the filter. This made the end open up in the wider unthreaded section at the bottom, it was impossible to unscrew. Matt Harwood said it's happened to him a few times aswell. Very common on the Toyota Carina according to the parts bloke.
  10. Is this it? Part no: 88706-14100 Over in the US it costs $137.40
  11. Underneath the car, just where the passengers left leg would be.
  12. Any particular reason for wanting to sell it so early, you only bought it in April? I know someone who may be interested, he's after a VVTI 6 speed but he's away on holiday at the moment.
  13. The previous owner Tazuk had a different bumper fitted, it was replaced.
  14. Hope it wasn't a dark blue volvo!

    Alloy Help

I've got these on order, Volk GT-C 19".
  16. Hope you can Jurgen I know someone who's wanting a nice VVTI TT 6 speed.
  17. Mine hasn't worked well for some time now. I bought the refil kit and gauge from Halfords last Sunday, it was very very easy to use. Make sure you fill at the low pressure port near the bulkhead. It's lovely and cold now!

The standard offset is 50mm, so get as close to that as possible. The brakes you've got play a large part in wheel selection, have you got UK brakes or do you want to upgrade in the future? Not all wheels will clear the larger uk fronts. Wheel widths, 8.5" - 9" front, 9.5" - 10" rear.
  19. It's really upsetting to here this. Very true. He's at peace .
  20. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a more modern looking car, but I cannot think of one car that would be better without spending 30K minimum. 350Z's aren't special at all, even if they're nice to drive.
  21. Looks like gunmetal from some angles, quicksilver side on. Anyone notice the rear bumper which has been painted and is a terrible match?
  22. Really sorry to here this. There's a few vets on here. I think Steviekid is a vet. I'm sure he won't mind me mentioning him.
