  1. It appears to have sorted itself out somehow, cheers. Windows XP installed the driver twice for some reason, so I removed one. It rebooted itself unexpectedly about 10 minutes later, when it started up it says it was optimising settings. Weird, I've never had this happen before. It's normally straight forward.
  2. I've just fitted a new graphics card, the old one was faulty. I installed the drivers that came with it. But the problem I've got is when I scroll up and down the screen using the wheel on the mouse there is a delay and it's almost like a wave moving up and down. It's very irritating, any help would be appreciated. I've tried messing with the settings in the display section of the control panel without success.
  3. It took me 2 years to get stopped for having illegal plates. I think once this has happened it's best to get the legal ones fitted to avoid any future hassle. A police officer would be certainly annoyed if you hadn't rectified the problem if you got pulled again, this would also give them an excuse to check your car out more thoroughly!

    Scam?

Just not worth the risk with that sort of money! If you're not 100% sure then go elsewhere.
  6. Good on him! Too many people doing this, I just ignore the phone when I'm driving. They can leave a message if it's important.
  7. I was thinking about doing just this shortly, I suppose cheap cars attract some right scumbags.
  8. You leave the O2 sensor where it is , it's fitted before the !st catalyst. You definately need a FCD as the higher boost you'll be getting will produce fuel cut. Most of us fit a Walbro pump just to be safe, a J spec pump might be adequate, I'm not sure. A boost gauge will be needed aswell unless you want to risk blowing the turbo's. 1.2bar is what most of us don't go above, a restrictor ring might be required. I'm not sure of the quality of fuel available in India, this would limit my desire to anything in the first place.
  9. Hi What spec car have you got, was it imported from Japan?
  10. You won't have any problems running the same size front and rear, my car came with 255's all round. Having the correct size tyre on a certain width wheel is important though. Don't fit one that is too wide.
  11. Like some others have said, there was no need to hit him under these circumstances. If he had given you abuse that would be different. You'll have to control your temper in the future, not easy to do sometimes.

    Sick Bas###ds

Sickening! I'm sure they'll get what they deserve, they cannot be seen to get off lightly.
  14. I would say no for a standard car. On a standard car it would only cut in when the grip on the roads is low and so your performance wouldn't be hindered in nice weather unless you pulled away from a junction on some gravel. When the traction control operates a light on the dash illuminates and the power from the engine drops dramatically and it seams to take forever to get it back again, this can be potentially dangerous when you're pulling away from standstill onto the road when the road conditions are bad.
  15. My brother got some from work. Any 3-4 mm black sheet material will do , I made the correct size round hole in it then glued it behind the dash panel. If you need any let me know.
  16. Same here. I fitted a black plastic sheet behind the dash panel with the correct size hole and fitted the gauge in this. It looks good.
  17. It's also possible that you got a shock from the ipod - be careful and get things checked out.
  18. Good advice. Also Get your wiring checked out, do you have a RCD and MCB's at the consumer unit!
  19. To be able to stop people ageing for a while for the family and myself. Jackpot on lottery so I can help others mostly (gives me more pleasure) - local Dog and Cat Shelter. Nice big house in the country.
  20. You don't have to open the valve much for an increase in boost, so be careful. I didn't fancy cutting the hose on the car, fuel hose and the those springy clips are ideal for putting on one end of the bleed valve.
  21. That sort of thing makes me mad! I wouldn't be able to get there quick enough to sort the scumbag out. All animals are great and I would do anything for them, they deserve it.
  22. Easily strong enough, machine mart do some nice ones aswell.
  23. I was going to delete it as I didn't want to offend anyone, too late now. I'm no racist, just a few of my recent experiences though (the local computer shop)
