  1. My brother bought a brand new one in 1983, a black one for under 8K. We went with him to pick it up from the dealer.
  2. I think I'll come back later when you lot have brought it up to 1000, I can't be bothered. I dont really need them , but if they're free!
  3. This is very boring! I'm sure it won't take long to get from 1000 to 1500 though.
  4. I suppose I could always sell them to a fellow member.
  5. Quoting Homer A wastegate is a valve that diverts exhaust gases away from the turbine wheel in a turbocharged engine system. Diversion of exhaust gases causes the turbine to lose speed, which in turn reduces the rotating speed of the compressor. The primary function of the wastegate is to stabilize boost pressure in turbocharger systems, to protect the engine and the turbocharger. The wastegate is controlled by a wastegate actuator.
  6. We bought a good one, the standard cold water type. They're crap, no good for cleaning cars.
  7. I paid about £150 for each one. It's a little awkward getting to one of the 3 nuts that hold the 1st cat to the turbo elbow, it helps to have a long extension and a universal joint for the socket set. It's best soak to them with penetrating fluid for a while too, you don't want to snap the studs!
  8. Don't waste your money, we bought one and they're way too powerful to use on paintwork. I only use it for cleaning the path. I tried mine on the van with the proper wash detergent and it just wouldn't get it clean. The problem is that most of them use cold water which will never work. The ones that they use at filling stations are better as they use a lower pressure and hot soapy water. You can buy ones that can heat the water or use water from the hot tap, only worth getting if you can reduce the jet pressure. They're much more expensive than your standard pressure washer.
  9. It's about time that they got this technology running in road cars.
  10. Yes, I would like to know too.
  11. I think Guru can't either!
  12. I haven't got one on the drivers side, mine's on the left.
  13. Thanks for that, I'll have a go.
  14. I agree, the car looks fine. The seats aren't showing much wear. I would get the mileage check done on any import to have peace of mind.
  15. If you send a pm I suppose you can keep your email address private. You can also see when it's been read, not all email servers have this feature
