  1. I've got a Peugeot Boxer 2.8HDI van. 50k on the clock , I do a lot of short journeys. In the last few days it's been difficult getting it into the low gears especially when cold, 1st gear is the worst by far. They go in fine when the engine isn't running. What do you reckon, new clutch needed?
  2. Scum, pleased they've got two of them. Good job you had the drink inside of you or you might've got involved. Terrible for the old lady though, hope she's okay.
  3. I agree totally! Far too many drivers don't adhere to the 30 limit - the most dangerous roads of all.

    towing car?

No. It's recommended that the trailer shouldn't weigh more than 80-85% of the weight of the tow vehicle. Turbo diesel vehicles are good because you get loads of low down torque.

    How Frickin Much

    You should learn to DIY!
  6. Keep an eye on the brake fluid level in the reservoir when you push the pistons in, It will go up. Also, be careful you don't damage the piston seals when you're pushing the pistons back.
  7. The outside of the discs may look okay, the inside may not!
  8. It's difficult to make a comment when looking at the photo's. A little expensive I think.
  9. I'm really sorry to here this! He won't have known anything at all.
  10. If you're not mechanicallly/technically minded then I would get someone else to do them. But even saying that, you'll never learn if you don't try!
  11. For the alarm? I haven't got a clue where the oil sensor wire is.
  12. I've never heard of anyone on here wanting to do it. Like you say, there's probably some owners who have fitted the J spec lights and have all the stuff you need. But there won't be many of them at all so the likelyhood of them reading this thread isn't high. Like Scooter said, contact "jezzybabes" on here he has lots of cars for breaking.
  13. Originally there were only about 600 odd Uk cars that were sold in this country, they all had glass headlights. The vast majority of Supra's over here are Jap spec imports, my headlights are great . No unnecessary weight on mine! You would probably have to source them from one of our Toyota dealers or a trader who advertises on here. I'm not sure if they would want the hastle of locating the correct parts and sending them over to the US. I can imagine this mod never being done before.
  14. Definately. My car failed the MOT . It was running rich and producing too much CO, the new O2 sensor fixed it.
  15. I think the only problem may be the seat height. I'm not sure if you can raise it up on some models, you cannot on mine with my leather recaro's. I've got the light weight fast one!
  16. LOL It's so irritating when you get junk mail repeatedly from the same places. Thanks for the reply
  17. The switch needs to be fixed to the bodywork of the car with a steel screw (red arrow) . Solder your alarm wire to the switch (blue arrow) You need to make a hole for the switch to fit into, position shown in pic. Adjust the length of the the switch by cutting it if necessary so the switch is pushed open when the bonnet closes.
  18. If you've read my recent post and another you'll see that we've both just fitted the AEM A/F gauge and can now see our A/F ratios. Running rich at higher boost level than stock appears to be common or even normal with the J spec cars. Are you runnining an increase in boost over stock?
  19. I've just been thinking about the Junk Email Folder, what's the point in having one because you've always got to go in to have a look to make sure they're junk just to be sure . I'm continuously getting junk emails from the same source, is there any way of stopping them from reaching you in the first place?
  20. I'm sure someone in a previous post said that it was only in the region of £70 . mmm I could start offering a cable replacement service, easy when you know how! Make some money too!
  21. It isn't easy, took me quite a while to get it just right. Definately worth marking the position of the glass before removing it I think.
  22. I made most of my connections in the drivers footwell fuse box, the one on the right when you remove the plastic trim. Door trigger , the blue connector athe very top left - green wire , normally +12v, goes to 0v when the door is opened. Hood pin wire , my J spec car didn't have this as it didn't have a factory fitted alarm , so I fitted my own bonnet switch. Parking lights, not sure. You really need a multi meter to check them out for yourself to make sure.
