  1. The back end of mine has stepped out twice, once on a roundabout and again on a 40mph road when building my speed back up from some lights. I've always taken it easy in such places and was very surprised to say the least , 18" with good tyres at the time.
  2. I wouldn't expect a comment like that from a child.
  3. Yes, it's the last thing you want to do. A straightforward job turns into a right mess, I suppose you can take the opportunity to overhaul them. I appologise again for laughing in my previous post. None of us are perfect, most of us have done stupid things over the years and you cannot believe what you did when you look back.
  4. Offset. Search all the Supra Forums and I'm sure you'll get an answer.
  5. Sorry for laughing. You won't be the first or last to do this I would imagine, you learn from your mistakes.
  6. I'm always suspicious when something crazy like this is being videoed.
  7. It's not nice at all. I wouldn't have said that if you hadn't changed your mind, if you like it then fair enough.
  8. There's always a faint possibility that someone was seriously injured in the car and they covered it up. Japan.
  9. Looks alright. There's nothing untoward from what I can see in the pictures/description. It would obviously be useful if someone recognised the car, if the the owner was a forum member you could look at previous posts to look into the history of the car.
  10. An increase in wheel diameter doesn't really cause any problems at all, unless it's to a ridiculous size. When you go for a larger diameter wheel you try to keep the tyre diameter the same, so with larger wheels the sidewall height of the tyre reduces. Like it's already been said by Westy882, the width and offsets are the important factors. Also, clearances of the wheel over the front brake caliper has to be considered depending on which brakes you have.

    80mph Limit

I felt that it almost became acceptable to maybe go upto 82-83mph or there abouts with the 70mph limit. The Police will enforce this new 80mph limit much stricter in my opinion.
  12. Have you tried giving it a few turns to see if it will tighten up? It could be loose and/or the threads are damaged.
  13. I would say so, depends on how much money you can afford to spend or waste. I wouldn't buy an alloy trolley jack unless you intend to carry it around, just a conventional strong steel one that's low with long reach would be useful as the jacking points at the front and rear aren't easy to reach. You can get most things done with basic tools, a good socket set, spanner set, screwdrivers, assorted pliers. Just buy the more specific tools as and when you need them.
  14. Not really necessary as you can achieve the end result much easier. What's wrong with printing the above drawing full size (accurately), stick it to some cardboard, cut around the profile of the brake disc and caliper and hold it place to check clearances with the wheel. Obviously if the clearances were small it would be wiser to actually try a wheel in place or to speak to someone else who has the same wheels/fitment, but the above method will give you some idea how they'll fit.
  15. Have you seen this drawing before, it's a cross section of the UK front brake and hub?
  16. pm sent yesterday regarding front, right upper control arm/wishbone Thanks
  17. Must be in good condition with no play in the balljoint, able to move by hand without being too tight. Facelift, post May 96 preferred. Thanks
  18. Yes, a good quality reliable alarm.

  20. Hi Keron I'm after a front, right upper wishbone - facelift . Obviously only if it hasn't been asked about already. Thanks pm sent too.
