You could always run a cable up to the bedroom from the router.

You need to warm them up to soften the mastic, you can then use a screwdriver to lever them off the housing. Either an oven or a hot air gun, but be careful you don't melt anything. Do a search and you'll find plenty.

I had the same problem , in the end I just pushed the bonnet down harder and it clicked down . Watch you don't dent it though. I checked the operation of the catches with a screwdriver too. There's also a couple of rubber stops located at each side, you can adjust these to sit a little lower if necessary.

I've always wondered if we spend too much on oils. Would a standard oil from one of the big manufacturers do the job, I'm sure they won't produce any bad oils?

My Volk wheels have nuts like this, you get the thin walled socket supplied with them. I would grind down the socket on the bench grinder.

No , but you always find plugs on cars that aren't used. Mainly for cars with higher specifications.
