  1. You would have to post some pics, does it crumble like a Cadbury's Flake. Most do when they're exposed to the winter in this country. (Mine included until I replaced it).
  2. In the past I've just bought one from my local car accessory shop and the universal one fitted both my van and a previous car.
  3. I've bought and fitted the CW SMIC after hearing good things on here and it appears to do the job but I've got nothing to compare it with. I wish there was some comparison tests to finally show which ones are the best.
  4. Get it fitted. I'm going to get one for mine, the standard J spec bonnet is too plain in my opinion. Nice wheels, they really suit the car.
  5. The save a heck of a lot of work, you get the glue which you use to join the split together. The couple I've used before come in a universal size which you trim to fit. Like this one
  6. LOL Not my taste at all, looks like three or four cars welded together.
  7. The quality is probably unknown, there are a few on here that've bought them off Ebay and appear to be happy though. If I had the choice I would pay the extra and buy one from a well known manufacture like the one from Greddy above. As far as I know there aren't any tests that've been done to establish their performance so you cannot easily make comparisons.
  8. There's loads of cars out there with almost totally illegible plates, italic letters and black screws all over the place.
  9. Coolant flow diagram I haven't studied the diagram much before, but I can see that blocking them off deffnately looks like the thing to do. Does the heater valve close to allow the engine to warm up quicker anyway or is it used for temperature control in the cabin? It wouldn't be easy to determine what restriction would mimic the matrix.
  10. I'll start since knowone has replied. The cheapest would be probably to hire a van and pick it up yourself. Unless you can find an independent courier based up in Scotand but the price would probably be based on whether or not he could pick up a load for the return journey.
  11. Steve Manley should be your best bet I would think, he's used regularly by members on here. 01865 291300 his email is [email protected] He's the parts bloke from a Toyota dealer in Oxford, he sends parts in the post.
  12. She'll never make head. http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/statistics/datatablespublications/accidents/casualtiesmr/ http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=1208 Loads of stuff on Google.
  13. Yes. The two pipes that disappear into the passenger side bulkhead, well that's where the hot water goes throught to the matrix and the slightly cooler water comes back out. Disconnect the pipes and use your plumbing skills to connect them together so the water flows through these pipes and bypasses the matrix.
  14. Haven't you painted them white already? Before looking at the pic I would have said black, but the white looks good.
  15. The footwell may be damp, condensation in the car, your coolant level would drop and your heater might not be producing as much warm air as it normally does. The heatrer matrix is very similar to a radiator in the house, the engine supplies the hot water and a fan blows air through the heater matrix which warms up before it enters the car. The heater matrix is located behind the dashboard on the passenger side, it's expensive to get replaced because it's a long job when you have to remove the dash.
  16. The set on the right for me. I couldn't be happier with my 19's, we don't all want to drive like Lewis Hamilton.
  17. Here's a few being tested, a couple of years old but it gives you an idea. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/64254/power_packs.html
  18. I use the Lexus one from a local dealer - 90915-20004 It's got Toyota all over the box, I'm not sure if you can get them from there too.

Very nice, especially the front. I wish there was some parts we could buy to modernise the Supra a little.
  20. First of all I would check to see if the positive and negative terminals are tight on the battery. To find out if the battery is holding a good charge you just need to try starting it, does the engine turn over quickly and start up like normal or is it very sluggish. A good test for this is on a cold winters morning. Operating the electric window and windscreen wipers when the ignition is on but the engine isn't running is a good indication of battery condition too but the one above is best. I think you would only have problems with the alarm if the battery was in a really drained state as they only take a relatively small current to operate. But all your problems might stem from that time in November when the battery was completely drained. I recall Matt Harwood saying that some alarms are less stable than others when when you deprive them of power.
