  1. Nope, far too wide. 225 max I would think.
  2. I'm almost certain it doesn't boil the water. My sister has one, very hot water but not like a normal kettle. It get's mixed reviews on Amazon. Amazon
  3. That's bad, surely you would get something back if you cancelled 2 1/2 month before the policy ends. In my experience the refund is pro rata only if they cannot insure you for the new vehicle.
  4. That's expensive, the warranty appears to be okay though. But at that price I would be looking to see what's available elsewhere.

    Leg work out

Fair enough,I didn't watch that one.

    Leg work out

Not necessarily. Whether or not you use use free weights or a machine you can obviously vary the weight to make the workout as punishing as you want.
  7. lol Mine are normally like this too, it always takes a few days to remove all the ingrained oil and dirt. I've started to wear gloves designed specifically for mechanics. Screwfix have a good selection of gloves, I can't find the ones that I bought though.
  8. My RLTC launch control works perfectly.

Yep, he's massive. Here's the same bloke doing an 800lb deadlift. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1KD7cGRDDc

    Axle Stands

It's much better to put the car up on ramps if you aren't working on the suspension. Ramps I don't use these ramps,I adapted some normal ones to lessen the slope. If I'm just working on the suspension at one corner I use the scissor jack to lift it then use one or two axel stands at that corner, like Scooter I leave the jack in place to share the weight with the axel stands. If I'm working on both sides at the front or rear I'll drive up on some thick wooden planks and then lift it with the trolley jack which is placed at the front subframe or under the differential and then use the axel stands to share the weight.
  12. B & Q sell the plastic tubing in different sizes.
  13. Those two links aren't working for me.
  14. Fit a narrow clear polythene tube to the nozzle on the vaccuum cleaner and stick it into the cylinder via the sparkplug hole.
  15. The McLarens were on the racing line and I'm assuming the others were not. I'm sure the other cars were a little off putting too if you consider the relative speed and the fact that you don't know if they've seen you and may just decide to move across the track.
  16. I'm so sorry to hear this, our labrador was only nine when he died, a cancerous growth in his mouth. You get so attached to them, like you say they're a member of the family. Time is a good healer.
  17. I would use a screw extractor, drilling a hole in the spark plug first and then screwing in the left hand screw extractor which will loosen the plug. Heating the broken sparkplug with a blow torch may break the seal between the plug and the cylinder head, but you'll need a hot torch to do this as the head will dissipate the heat. I'm not sure who makes the best extractors, some are too brittle and will shear off in the spark plug. Chris Wilson would give you some good advice as I can imagine he's encountered this problem a few times.
  18. If you intend sending these photo's to shell it might be a good idea to use a tape measure at the end of the horizontal piece in the second photo to show the height of the manhole cover above the normal level.

    Couriers?!

    Do they have tyres fitted?
  20. Is it a twin turbo or is it normally aspirated? The twin turbo VVTI was introduced in Sept 97. Facelift Supra's from May 96. The TT VVTI is a non-interference engine which means that if the timing belt snaps then the valves won't hit the pistons, so you haven't got to worry as much as you normally would. I wouldn't be too worried about the lack of service history, I think that the general condition of the car is a good indicator of whether or not it's been looked after. As far as I'm aware you cannot import a TT Supra which is less than 10 years old.
  21. Can Brian speak English or just Scottish?
