  1. DO NOT use plats on your car..like Joe (Gamer) says they are only there for longer life..and platinum plugs will hold heat longer than copper ones..so either iridium or copper. Andy
  2. Sorry i should have made my post a little clearer..as 'homer' said a little smoke after the car has sat a long time isnt anything to worry about but i was meaning the stem seals turob seals will cause it to smoke most of the time .
  3. Seals Are letting a little through.
  4. Mate Go get a can of easy start and take the large pipe going onto the front of the throttle body, and spray some of the easy start into there IF the car starts then you got a fuelling problem..get someone who isnt going to rip you off to come out and sort it for you.
  5. you have checked the fluid is ok with the engine running ?.
  6. We have ran a ERL 1s system for the last 2 years and it has never failed, we run a 60/40 mix of meth and water,it also has it's own feed..and we hooked up a little warning ligth to let us know the pump is actually working at the required boost level, and as stated most of the problems arise when the pump has been run dry.
  7. Make yourself one of these.... http://bedders.bulldoghome.com/photos/BDRES/bedders_bulldoghome_com/DSCN3249.JPG[img]</p><p> </p><p> [img]http://bedders.bulldoghome.com/photos/BDRES/bedders_bulldoghome_com/DSCN3250.JPG http://bedders.bulldoghome.com/photos/BDRES/bedders_bulldoghome_com/DSCN3251.JPG That will hold the crank in place using 2 bolts... and then go here http://www.machinemart.co.uk/product.asp?p=040211223 and buy a Harmonic balance puller and the job is easy peasy. I think this needs to made a sticky since i see this Q all the time on here . Andy
  8. All you need is a few extension bars and a swivel joint, and the box will come out easy..use a couple of trolly jacks . Andy
  9. CHarlie.. Unlikely mate but if it does happen then i will deff let you know . Andy
  10. b'have..any shims dimensions/updates?..the shims are 20/21mm round and the depth you know..as for updates..there might be some comming..Like i say on the original thread this is NOT my mod..it was done by a lad called Jared from the Suprafroums..in the states..we talked with him in private and told him we would do the mod on the soarer box..and do another writeup...he is very busy with real world things right now..but is working on some other mods.. Bob..yes give Dean (mrdsukautos) or just have some made up outta metal bar..or light alloy.. sarjo..no it dont strengthen the box, infact it puts a little more strain on the box due to the higher pressure and quicker shifts it will have to do..and it is advised to fit a tranny cooler if you want to do this mod. Andy PS i am awaiting a MV auto shift kit which will be pulled apart to see what it is exactly they do or dont do to the valve body....as i have now heard they dont actually do anything to the valve body itself.
  11. Mark if you are going to do the box mod disregard the little typo i made..ie the bit about turning the pressure regulator...you need to turn it to the RIGHT so that the unit is now set as far in as possible..if you go LEFT it reduces the pressure on the box...and you DON'T want that . Andy
  12. now why.... http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2005/10/lcd_screenheadl.html click on the pic to enlarge.. Andy
  13. 3 grand isnt going to get him something thats been looked after..and he can prob expect to spend another couple of grand IF he wants it right. Other than that like said here already they aint the cheapest car aorund to keep going, but they can be great fun..well the TT can..and as Chris said they are revvy . Andy ps Another site is ... http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/home.htm
  14. Ajaz They will be the same since we have a Supra single on ours with the same fittings. And talk with Terry or Mig on here..i'm sure they can help you out. Andy
  15. http://www.britishmetrics.com/html/tech_1.htm
  16. Well i did say that they SHOULD be pre gapped when they come outa the box..but yes you SHOULD always check the gap before installing infact most on here would have to alter the gap since most run higher boost Andy
  17. If the gap in the plug is to small it can cause bad running, and the plugs should all be pre gapped when they come outta the box. You dont need to reset the ecu when you change plugs. But try a reset now and see if that cures your problem. Andy
  18. Irvine your streching it a bit there arent you is there meat in them things . hope yous have a good meet . Andy
  19. Irvine Dont you dare go to that Fast car day at crail or i wont let you live it down mister . Andy
  20. Oh well just incase you didnt I'll now get me coat . Andy
  21. read this link.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=54779&highlight=heater+matrix Andy
  22. get yourself 2 gallons of fluid..if your changing the torque converter..and be SURE to fill the torque converter up BEFORE you offer it up to the box.
  23. So there ya go cams out. Andy
