  1. Still searching for one. I thought I'd managed to source one from a Canadian breaker but it was from a LHD Supra and they are different unfortunately and won't adapt for a RHD matrix
  2. Wow.I remember when you could pick these things up for £40 to £50 quid a few years ago.
  3. Still looking for one of these.Been on all the various Supra market places on Facebook and seems people only want to sell a complete HVAC unit
  4. Lets hope and pray it can be flushed out and it's not a dash out to replace the heater matrix jobbie. These cars are approaching 30 years old now and a lot of heater matrixes will start to be irreversibly clogging up with too infrequent coolant changes done in the past, aluminium oxidisation and just Father Time basically. There are plenty of posts on here regarding people flushing out their heater matrix using anything from fairy liquid to Mr Muscle and rad flush. If that doesn't work then you start getting really desperate and resort to drain cleaner and a power washer. Which is where I am now at the moment and I've a horrible feeling that I may have damaged the plastic heater matrix control valve which is joined to one end of the matrix, using too stronger chemicals me thinks. And the valve is discontinued by Toyota ( you can still buy the Supra MK111 one brand new !!! ) so now I am now trying to source a good second one just in case I have damaged it for when I do whip the dash out in a few months time. Not looking forward to it one bit.
  5. Cheers for pointing out the part numbers.I just thought 87240-14160 was a revised part number evidently not, what with the heater matrix being different as well on LHD and RHD models. I suspect the valve may have been damaged with all the chemicals I've been flushing through it,the last being drain cleaner , in a vain attempt to un block the matrix. Plus the fact the valve has probably welded itself to the matrix after all these years and may break if I attempt to swap it over. So yeah would be nice to have a spare one on hand. But I'll check out Denso's website and see if they'got anything.
  6. Thanks for the link, most appreciated, but most of the valves for different models seem to have straight through piping whereas the Supra valve pipe enters one end and exits at a right angle. I'm not sure how easy it will be, if at all, to adapt another Toyota model's heater valve to fit the Supra not having the luxury of time to fiddle around, especially when the dash is out and not being able to test it properly until all the dash is back in again. Not a two minute job. I would've thought some of the Lexus models such as the mid nineties GS300 would have shared the same part but no they don't. My gut feeling is the MK4 Supra heater valve is specific to this model only.
  7. Yeah I know think most of it's blown out of the vents over the years
  8. I'm going to be attempting to change the dreaded heater matrix early next year and think it might be a good idea to change the control valve or have a good replacement on hand just in case the current one is damaged or very worn. The valve is part no 87240-14150 or 87240-14160. The part seems to be discontinued now and I'm drawing a blank with suppliers such as Amayama, interestingly the valve for the MK3 is still available brand new. So by some miracle has any kind member got a new or decent one kicking about anywhere ?
  9. Yeah I think Toyota discontinued them some time ago unfortunately.
  10. Just coming up Drighlington bypass and noticed you going round the Westgate hill roundabout near the Shell garage managed to catch up with you in my red Supra down Tong lane and you gave me a wave as I flashed you then you turned left at lights and I turned right back to Birkenshaw
  11. My aircon condenser packed in a couple of years ago and I was in two minds whether to get it fixed or not thinking shall I bother with the expense for the few hot days we get in the UK. Well sure glad I did with the recent hot weather we've been having. Got a new oem condenser from Elmhurst Toyota USA on Evil-Bay. Then got an aircon specialist to come and fit it then re gas the system and Hey Presto lovely cool air once more
  12. Yes thats sound.I’m at work at the moment using my steam powered Iphone S. So when I’m back at home I’ll power up the laptop and pm the details:-)
  13. Hi Bud Yours will do just fine. How much are you wanting for it and will you accept Paypal ?
  14. I'm getting pretty desperate for an aircon dryer/receiver bracket Toyota part no 88472-14200 in reasonable condition. I've tried every where USA Toyota dealers,Amayama, Megazip , but no one seems to have one in stock. Getting the condenser and dryer was the easy part. So I'm hoping someone on here may have one laying about from deleting their aircon perhaps.
  15. Saw a rather nice looking white one on Tong street Bradford around 19:10
