I've worked with Vinyl for years. Was in signage for 10 yrs and still have a vinyl cutter beside my desk for the odd small job.
To be honest, when i first started, I thought Vinyl wraps were the coolest crazy set to take the car customize scene by storm, even wrapped my Uno45 with a Zip like the BAR F1 cars of the time.
Now,... having worked with the stuff,.. I hate it!
It always boils down to Blue Peter sticky back plastic on cars. FAKE!
I understand for the commercial side, wraps are fantastic for graphic liveries and design, but standard colours should be paint.
I also went through a carbon faze with 3M white 3d Carbon which looked so nice.
Problem is, at the end of the day its 'fake' carbon and totally pointless.
I've seen some wrapped Supras and they do look amazing, BUT it has to be carefully and considerately done.
Jason's dragon Supra IMHO looks ace. Manga style illustration with cherry blossom can work too and some nice pastel or Matt colours are available, thats down to individual taste.
Very difficult to decide. But its a good way of protecting the paint underneath to, so has some genuine good points
