  1. Don’t forget to check your fuel lines and brake lines especially where they go through the plastic retainers on the under side I have had two go now and all the underside parts must have surface rust on them wire brush and under seal or paint

All those jobs that I never had time to do ,so I’ve removed the air pipes and throttle body , coil and gave drivers side inner wing a good scrub,now don’t shoot me down,but I want to replace the OEM air pipes with some shiney pipes and some coloured silicone connectors anyone know where I can get these from seen the eBay ones etc ,is the diameter of the pipe 70 mm?,and I’m also painting the rocker covers would spray hammerite be ok ,will update this post with pics as I do them Btw mines an NA  I’m also gonna take each wheel off and clean and spray the shocks and springs enough for now I think .

    Basically your correct in what you say ,this is the first time I’ve actually just sat in the car whilst he did the checks,Brake test,emissions and all the other stuff im well aware of the dangers as I’m 67 a fit 67 I might add.my mot ran out on the 27th so I would not have had an extension .

  7. I had shifting problems ,would not go into O/D tried loads of things ,in the end I took the lid off the Ecu and could see straight away I had a blown cap ,took it too my local tv electrician he replaced and checked the board now it works just fine AND it only cost me £20

    Took the car for mot today as he was checking under neath the fuel line started leaking ,right where the bracket is so he let me fix it there (up on ramp) 10 mins I had a new piece of rubber fuel pipe in and he passed it .got so many spare bits in my boot I’m ready for anything even got a bottom pulley lol

    I have the same problem I recently removed the spoiler to repaint it ,think it’s coming through the bolt holes gonna take it off and put new washers see if that fixes it

    I meant what’s the best way to secure the battery earth lead to this ,ie solder, nut and bolt ? how have you done yours ? It’s just got a hole on the end as you can see in the pic

  14. So I’ve brought one of these to disable my battery when not in use what’s the best way of connecting the cable (earth)
  15. Mines gone twice now took it to my local computer repair guy replaced the caps re lacquered the board cause it leaked ,charged me 20quid happy days, ecu specialist wanted 70 plus parts .

Ok so I don’t take the Supra out very often (shite weather) it’s covered up out side,I normally disconnect the + side of the battery to save it going flat ,so I been out today for a quick run and my overdrive is not working,this is the third time I’ve had this problem it’s a diode on the ecu board ,burns out.so I can replace it no problem ,do you think me disconnecting the live terminal and reconnecting when I use it would blow this diode
