  1. Well, Sweden now has another piece of automotive beauty...
  2. Yes, to check that the orange wiring blocks were properly connected in the back of the heater unit - the heater stopped working before I took the dash panels off.
  3. Just had half the inside of the car to bits to no avail - checked all fuses, everything else works fine, but no heater controls / lights at all - does that mean it has to be the ECU that is faulty ?
  4. Thanks HD, it is down as JZA thankfully - deposit taken, just hope the guy makes it over now...
  5. Does anyone know anything about selling a car to Europe ? I have someone interested who says he needs the chassis number of the car in order to "make an import policy in Sweden so that I get to drive home the car and without the police can impound the car" - does this seem a normal request ?
  6. OK, price now down to £7000, plus a few more up to date pics added -
  7. The stock quarters were chopped, and new steel ones made and welded on - a very tidy job I think.
  8. Nice comments chaps - but no-one interested yet ?
  9. Come on chaps - there must be someone out there who wants to kick these humongous tyres
  10. Thanks for your comments guys - it's much appreciated.
  11. Well, after 7 years of ownership, I think maybe the time has finally come to part company. I drive this so little these days, especially with all the speed bumps where I live (300 miles only between last two MOTs), and this car needs to be enjoyed and appreciated. Three years ago the car was modified by widening the rear end by about 3" each side, and fully resprayed (glass out job), and I had Image Wheels make me a set of split rims at a cost of over two grand. The wheels have just been refurbished by the manufacturers at a cost of £750, with the centres painted matt black, a big improvement in my opinion. The only real problem with the car is someone has scraped the front bumper a little see middle pic of 2nd row. I am the only UK owner, having bought the car from the importers D.McMinn's in Hemel Hempstead in March 2004. The car had 37,405 km (23,242 miles) on it when I got it, and I changed the odo to read in miles. It now reads 55,125, so an accurate total is 40,962. The tyres (245 / 335 Pirellis) have done no more than 3000 miles from fitting. The car's been well maintained, and I have all the MOTs to verify the mileage. Please feel free to ask any questions. MOT is due May 21st 2012 and the car is taxed to end of March 2012 - last few MOT's it's gone straight through with no issues - only thing I've had to change recently is the battery, which has a 3 yr guarantee. I also have some polished engine bits which I'm happy to throw in, I paid £200 for them but never got round to fitting them. Toyota Main Dealers

It was Benfield on Wakefield/Dewsbury Road, near Morrisons - to be fair, the bloke seemed quite decent, but working for a bunch of twats.
  14. What is it with main dealers - how dumb do they think we all are ? "I'd like a battery for a 95 Supra please - import but with UK size terminals" 10 mins later - "That'll be £15 odd please" "No, that's for the terminal only" 10 mins later "That'll be £321 please" "No it won't, it's £80 in Halfords" "Well we can do a replacement one for £70, but you'll have to bring the car in" "I can't, it's got no battery...or wheels" "Can't you get it towed in ?" "No - why anyway ?" "We have to be sure it's the right battery" "It's a supra turbo - they're all the same" "We can't take the chance" "I'll just go to Halfords then" Jesus Christ almighty
  15. Well done mate - happened to me a couple of months ago & the people next door took the woman's number (Landrover & no idea how to drive it) - she was daft enough to have gone in the hairdressers round the corner - had a go at her about it being technically an offence and all that and everyone in the shop started on me - just beggars belief it does...
  16. I was watching his "Who do you Think you are ?" last night - it was fascinating - illegitimately related to french nobility and a direct descendant of Ali Kemal, a Turkish minister who was lynched by an angry mob for opposing Ataturk, Turkey's first Prime Minister in 1922. Almost as British as our Royal Family.
  17. Yep - showing code 42 - I've already had the odo board out though & can't see anything wrong with any of the solder joints, it all looks pretty good - I could redo the wiring connection on the wiring plug, but other than that it all looks fine.
  18. Wonder if anyone has any suggestions - odometer goes on and off intermittently, and just before the MOT is due too. It still counts the miles, but it won't stay on for long at all, doesn't seem to be any pattern to it ?
  19. Does brake fluid work too ?

    Ebay sale to idiot...

I believe we will soon - I hear it's all in hand...
  21. Thankfully mine never got to court - a good solicitor will normally do the arguing for you and avoid court costs.
  22. That's not the case - it's up to the police to show that you received the notice, which they could do by presenting it in person or using some form of recorded delivery and obtaining a signature - they choose not to do that.
  23. Some girl tried to pay on a card for 22p's worth of gum once in the shop I worked in - I refused as it cost 15p to get the money from the card company. People who stand right in front of the door when the lift you're in arrives - how the hell are you supposed to get out so they can get in - WTF ?
