  1. I have a set of J-Spec injectors you can have if you want to test them?
  2. The VSV's control the wastegate and the sequential system, so I wouldn't have thought so if it's coughing at idle. Blocked injector?
  3. If you've removed one coil at at time, and the cough still occurs, then perhaps fuelling? Could it be the O2 sensor? I know that they can get clogged up and thus false readings, but I'm not sure if that would make more trouble than you have? If it's bogging down with quick throttle opening, it sounds like not enough fuel? Hmmm...
  4. Here's the diagram of the coils; the orange and black wire goes in the right and the coloured one goes in the left (I think)
  5. Sorry, I meant blue rubber sorround, not wire!
  6. From memory I think the blue wire goes on the left as you look at the back of the plug, and the common earth (black and orange?) goes on the right. I think ...
  7. Just out of curiosity, if the coil wires were just pressed in, were they in the right way around? I had the same problem a few years ago; the plug will still fire, but it will give you a miss fire under pressure.
  8. Is the cough regular or every now and again?
  9. I'm in Chelmsford; I'm happy to help if I can?
  10. Sorry, this was sold this morning. I meant to update the thread, but I was pulling my head apart this morning to measure my shims Sorry.
  11. I too have a set of J-Spec cams, but I'm going single in a couple of weeks, so I'll have the original exhaust manifold etc. if that's any use? The tubbies are knackered, they need seals and bearings, but if the housings are of any use then by all means take them.
  12. As requested, here's a piccy of the EVC:
  13. With the install of my AEM I no longer need the EVC 5 or the FCD (Sold), thus they're up for sale. Offers? Thanks Tony
  14. Mine isn't doing so well in the reliability stakes... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=175891
  15. I realise this is unlikely as the thread was started last September, but do you still have the GT35R turbo? If you do, let me know as I'm interested (I tried to PM you, but your inbox is full) Thanks Tony
  16. Tonyhawk AEM 6 Speed Manual Stock tubbies Mapped by Ryan 10/10 - Fantasticly smooth and very responsive! 426bhp @ 405ft/lbs Supporting Mods: Full decat 264 cams Head work 550cc UK injectors Intercooler Full spec
  17. After a great day with the magician Ryan, working his magic on my wee beastie and pulling a fantastic 426bhp out of his hat, we discovered that my turbos are shot... The long and short of it is, 1.1bar, good power, beautiful curve, loads of smoke... Anyway, not having much cash right now, certainly not enough to buy a cheap single (plus wastegate, manifold, down pipe etc., etc., etc...), or to pay for reconditioning the ones on there, I'm after a (hopefully) good set of stock J-Spec tubbies. Does anyone have any? Thanks Tony
  18. I got mine done by a friend of a friend and paid in cash, so I got a really good deal, but I don't know what body shops charge normally, sorry. I was hoping for sun today so I could take some more pics, but instead I got fog! All day!! And now it's dirty 'cos the roads are wet
