He got a witch for £116; sounds like a halloween bargain
-
I'd like to know too; my speedo and odo have stopped working! My car was imported from Japan about 5 years ago and I was the first UK owner; the importers did all the bits necessary for the the SVA and I've had it since. However about a week or so ago the speedo became intermittant and now it's pot luck as to whether it works at all! The ODO actually says 'miles' on the green readout, but the speedo seems to have an 'MPH' sticker on it, however I couldn't say if that was put there by the importers? I've had the entire dash off before now when I replaced the heater matrix and I don't think I ever saw a converter, but then I wasn't looking for one either. Would a converter add/change the word next to the milage to 'miles'? Any help would be VERY much appreciated. Ta.

Spec list updated with a couple of minor things I'd forgotten.

Cheers for that, it means a lot to me.

Interior pics added to original post

Cheers geez Ryan has done all of the mapping so far (on the original twins and the current single); the road tune is complete and it drives beautifully, the bit that needs finishing is turning the tubbie above 1.4bar. It has 65k on the clock.
-
Ta. It needs to be seen in sunshine for the full effect as it's a deep graphite, but with metallic flecks of copper and green. It was a complete strip for the respray (Piccy's), everything was off!
-
Good point, I'll have to find it....it's in a box somewhere... I might get Ryan to finish it, I'd feel happier to sell it on completed rather than 'it should do this...'

If you're looking for a new one, mine's available Beastie for sale
-
Ok, it has come to this and the beastie has to go It had a complete re-spray six months ago, engine rebiuld 3k ago and the valve guides a few days ago. The the main spec list is below, but what is not in the list is the Toad alarm with total closure and tracker unit. I'm sure there are lots of things I haven't remembered, but I'm happy to answer any and all questions I'm looking for £14k. In the spirit of complete honesty, there are a couple of things that are not 100%: the wheels are not perfect and two of them have some surface corrosion that needs treating; the only other defect is on the bonnet, which has two cracks at the front; I wanted to get them sorted, but I haven't been able to find a good body shop that can work with CF. To get both issues sorted would probably be about about £500ish, which is why it's not priced as high. Piccy's attached. Spec: Block: JE Pistons Bottom end lightened & balanced ARP Stud bolts ARP Rod bolts PHR Oil pump Cylinder Head: Polished/Ported/Gas Flowed Crower titanium valve springs & retainers HKS Inlet and Exhaust Cams (264 degrees) HKS Cam Wheels New valve guides Turbocharger, Induction & Cooling: Garrett GT358466R (not the GT35R, this has a bigger induction impeller) Boostlogic oil kit HKS Wastegate with screamer pipe Apexi Induction Kit HDi Intercooler HKS Dump valve ASI rad Fuel, Tuning & ECU: AEM EMS with 3.5 Map & Boost solenoid HKS DLI SARD 800cc Injectors SARD FPR FPD Bypass NGK BKR8 Plugs Bosch 044 fuel pump Exhaust: Reworked, re-welded and ported XS Power manifold XS Power downpipe XS Power midpipe HKS Superdragger rear box Drivetrain: RPS Flywheel RPS Street clutch Suspension, Wheels, Tires & Brakes: BBS 18" rims Yokohama AVS Sports (245 Front, 275 Rear) Engine Dress: Shiny Inlet Manifold Shiny Plenum Chamber Shiny Water pipe Shiny Fuse Box Cover Greddy Alloy pulley set Greddy top rad hose Greddy bottom rad hose Shiny coolant expansion tank Painted spark plug cover (same as car) Painted strut brace (same as car) Exterior: TRD Carbon Bonnet TRD Carbon Wing Top Secret front bumper Toyota side skirts Veilside wing mirrors Extras/Gauges/Toys: HKS Turbo timer AEM Wideband Sensor Defi Display with Exhaust Gas Temp, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Water Temp & Fuel Pressure sensors Performance: Mapping (by Ryan.G) was aborted due to a faulty oil line, a boost leak and some oil burn, which was preventing enough advance being added. However, in this unfinished state it still managed 533fwhp at 505ft/lbs All of these problems have been sorted (the oil issue was valve guides and have now been replaced), however I haven't taken it back to Ryan to be finished yet, but it should see 600bhp.

The odo is reading 63k, but the engine was rebuilt 2k ago. I bought the car from Japan at 40k. I don't have any interior pics, but I could take some. -

All except the crack in the CF bonnet, I haven't been able to find a bodyshop that's compotent enough with CF to sort it yet, but short of that it's ready to rock -

Cheers guys It's not the car I'm sad to lose so much as the time and effort that feels wasted; lots of time, sweat, blood, swearing and desair, not to mention the tested patients of my good lady It's not finished, but can they ever be? -

Cheers for that, too many scraped knuckles and sweat have gone into it, but it's that or have people knocking on the door! Here's hoping. -
After being out of work for six months, it looks likely that I'll need to sell the Supe.... I'm gutted because I've spent hundreds of hours on it and more money than is healthy, but needs must as they say. However, I'm not sure what it's worth, especially in the current climate so I was hoping that someone might be able to give me an idea? The spec is here , it's had a lot done, the engine has about 2000 miles on it since the rebuild, complete respray not six months ago, etc. If the whole isn't worth that much then perhaps a break up might yeild more, there's a lot of good parts on it? Any thoughts would be very much appreicated. Hopefully I'll find something in the next couple of weeks and I wont have to, but I'm not holding out too much hope Thanks Tony

Thanks for all the advice, but I won't be attempting this myself; I can't even cut wood straight! If it's mechanical then I'm more than happy to try anything, but if it involves cutting, drilling, grinding or ANYTHING cosmetic, I run a mile! I'll see if the body shop help. Cheers for you thoughts though, it has brought me some hope!
