  1. Not the bearing - took that to garage. It dumped the PS fluid on the way home from picking the car up!! Just done it - ATF everywhere, lol. Need to bleed it a bit (lot!!), as it's whining like anything at the moment. Flushed all the old crap out, just hope the pump or rack aren't knackered, as I needed to drive it 400yards and get it up onto my drive...
  2. Not really driven it for about 2 months Needed a new wheel bearing, which took ages to get from Japan and then the power steering fluid leaked everywhere - hopefully fixing it this weekend
  3. cheers mate - first one I've seen up here in 6 months

  6. cheers Daryl - couldn't believe it mate, just got car back from having a new rear wheel bearing fitted and it dumped the PS fluid !!!! Haven't driven it for 5 weeks, luckily still got MR2, lol. Just hope the pump is knackered.... Any idea how many litres I need to buy? cheers
  7. Hopefully Keron is sorting me out with a used banjo hard pipe. Is this ATF any good? How much do I need - the system will be fully drained http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ATF-DIII-DEXRON-3-Automatic-Transmission-Fluid-5-ltr-/250521944613?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a54458225#ht_1556wt_905 cheers
  8. I've just found that I've got the same problem as in this thread :http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?190643-Power-steering-hose-part-number&highlight=power+steering+leak[ANGRY][/ANGRY] Took some pics but it's the identical same leak from the same spot. can someone please verify this is the return side (ie not HP) and what type of hose/fitting I need to replace it with? many thanks Jon
  9. Very nice looking car Michel and a superb price for a fully built single. Best of luck with the sale
  10. In hated the idea of an auto when I was looking for my Supra 7 years ago, but wouldn't have a manual now. I've got a manual MR2 turbo, and would definitely NOT have an auto in that, but the Supra auto suits the car so well it's fantastic. Obviously it depends what you want to do with the car, but on the road, I've never wished for it was a manual - on the track... now there's a different story - hence the MR2
  11. Sorry to hear that It is a shame - wasn't noticeable when I bought it and then the stars started appearing....
  12. Taken a bit of searching, but found a guy near me who does Hill Climbing and specialises in Audi's, has a rolling road etc so should be reasonably competent. Will take car down there on Friday to see what he reckons cheers
  13. Could be I suppose. Don't know anywhere else I can take it mate. Askeed people at work and just get blank looks. They don't seem to do cars up here!!?? Did that already and no movement in any direction - will try again tomorrow night if dry No mate - it's been driven. It does need new rear tyres though, so maybe one is fubar'd ? Will jack it up again and try tomorrow night cheers
  14. Took car on a 600 mile round trip over the weekend and I have what can ionly be described as a cyclic 'thwumping' from one of the rear wheels. it speeds up as I go faster and is there at all speeds over 20mph. volume rises and lowers a bit with speed. The tone also seems to change a bit if it's wet / dry. I'm guessing wheel bearing, but when I had that last time, it was a constant drone at all speeds, which this isn't? I have jacked it up and detect no play in the wheel, it rotates fine and the brake caliper / pads seem to be functioning fine. any ideas before I check it into the local Toyota garage? (just moved to area and don't know anywhere else I can take it ) thanks
  15. Spotted driving out of Barrow on the A590 this morning Any takers? Jon
  16. Thanks for the replies guys - A summer trip out would be good sometime
  17. Some better pics added to first post Car will also have new rebuilt front calipers fitted as they are a bit seized up after the winter cheers
  18. Just moved from South west to North west and wondered if any members are up in the Lakes area cheers Jon
  19. Will give it a good clean and post pics over the weekend cheers
  20. Oops - was sure I'd forgotten something, but couldn't work out what.... Looking for £2500 - priced to sell, with the wheels and shocks/springs, I think it's a good buy at that price. Coilovers done 1000miles and cost approx £600 less than a year ago (thought about taking them off and selling separately, but can't be ar*ed)
  21. Bought nearly three years ago for trackdays. Many members know the car as it's been used at Llandow and Rockingham and also went on a trip to the Ring in 2008 (but not on the Ring itself) PRICE £2250 - with shocks/springs and extra wheels Has MOT until Jan 2012. Tax until July Red Rev 3 GTS model (no ABS or traction control) with Limited Slip Diff 80,000 miles & imported Feb '06 - one owner before me. Had new clutch and turbo when imported (fitted by GTS chris) Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser Blitz EBC Boost controller (high & low settings, with double solenoid) Synapse BOV (still have stock BOV) Proper Omori vacuum boost gauge, not the crap electric stock one BC racing Coilovers TRD rubber bushings all round Manual steering rack fitted (powered rack failed) K&M panel filter Sony CD player clear front indicators Decat Also have extra set of wheels, EBC Yellow stuff pads & original stock turbo shocks & springs recent new brake discs No rust, but passenger door has previously had a lacquer applied which is coming off . Will give a clean at weekend and post up some better pics Can provide more details to anyone interested. Would be a great start for a track car, which I intended but have moved up North and there are very limited options for track days Currently in Cumbria Peeling lacquer Interior Coilovers (camber adjustment) Engine Bay cheers Jon
