  1. looks like some kind of anti corrosion device, sometimes referred to as a sacrificial anode, they use something similar on ships hulls.

  3. I am pleased you have found the problem, however the crank pulley was a Titan one and Richard was supplied with the paperwork that came with it. As for the comment about not being fitted properly, the car has been running and used virtually everyday for 2 and a half years, so I don't understand what could have been wrong??? but I am willing to learn.
  4. As requested earlier The nuts shown are of course the ones used to fix the spacer to the hub.
  5. Hi guys, hole in the centre is 74mm. I have used these on my old Supra previously. PS if "Hubcentric" is a brand name these may not be that make but they are the type that utilises your existing studs to fix the spacer and then you have another set of studs for the wheel fixing.   8. Ok guys it was me that sold the car in question. All I can say is that I have owned that car for 3 years and used it virtually every day as my daily driver, as I hope you can all see from the pictures of the car and the underbonnet I have spent a load of cash and time on the car and when I sold it to Richard I had no knowledge of the impending failure as I am sure most of you will appreciate. During the sale we took the car out and did approx 15-20 miles putting it through its paces and when we got back there was not a sign of any "oil" issue, not a drop of oil in my drive or under the bonnet. I have a number of good contacts on here that I have made over the years and hope they will respond to this thread with their thoughts and knowledge of the car. Once again I wouldlike to restate that this type of failure is totally unpredictable and there is no way I would sell anything that I thought was faulty in anyway without telling the purchaser.   18. Car sailed through the MOT today so now also has 12months test and 6 months tax.
  19. Hi Martin (Red/PinkM) not getting another at the moment, looking at a 911 (996)Turbo. Still love the car but have had a Supra (Black one now the White one) for over 8 years now, gots lots of fun + learnt a lot doing the work on them, but am ready for a change. But never say never and I may be tempted to buy another and start all over againsometime in the future. After all I don't drink much, don't smoke and my wife won't let me go out with mucky women so cars are my only vice. Nice to hear from you anyway and when are you re-joining the fold? Cheers Dave.

Gearbox issue sorted, couldn't believe it when I finnally had a look at the selector linkages, the two nuts on the connector from the gear lever to the gearbox selector shaft had come off and the bushes on the support bracket were completely knackered,so just replaced the bushes and tightened bolts on shift lever to selector spindle and its as good as new . Dave
