  1. That site would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad & so bad... and the chief moderator is a Supra owner Shame as the forum is down due to hackers, but if you 'bare' with them it will be back soon
  2. Politicians will do that regardless of any political system that is in place. From Burma to China to the EEC to the USA, they are all on the make. It doesn't matter WHERE the money is raised from - even Mugabe can fund a lavish lifestyle and his country is damn near broke.
  3. Punctuation can be more important than spelling. Look at these two sentences: A woman, without her man, is nothing. A woman: without her, man is nothing. Bad spelling and text speak is just annoying, as the reader has to think twice as he reads, mentally swapping 'their' for 'there' and 'sea' for 'see' etc (saw that in a thread title recently). Bad punctuation can literally change the whole meaning of a sentence.
  4. Doesn't matter if they are new or 2nd hand, makes no difference
  5. No duty = big result. That will have saved easy over £100. It's weird how random the customs & excise system is. Sometimes they get you, sometimes they don't.

Ha not bothered! I don't watch it myself. Now I have to keep my gob shut though... thx tichkent for the link :-)
  7. How is that funny? Camelot are in the business of selling scratchcards, not wasting their time educating the public. And if they did educate people about their scratchcards, maybe people would understand better their pitiful chances of winning - meaning Camelot would soon be out of business.
  8. It's only been in recent years that fuel economy has been an issue with US drivers, and it'll probably be more so now. There has been no pressure on car manufacturers to decrease engine size, as gas has been so cheap. Add the 'bigger is better' philosophy that pervades US consumer culture and there's good enough reason for big, thirsty engines these past 50 years.
  9. So why do the US public buy 8 litre 4x4s just to pop to the shops?

Yes the bbc one this evening. Google search = nowt. Oh well no shag for me tonight
  11. looks best on gunmetal not so good on certain other colours
  12. Driven at 160+ and many others have gone faster. No problem!
  13. When it comes to taking a life, there are 1000s of differing degrees of culpability between suicide, euthanisia, manslaughter, murder (1st and 2nd degree, diminished responsibility etc etc) and assisting or being part responsible for any of these. Somewhere in that lot belongs our JW woman. Personally I think her mind was unsound by the indoctrination of her religious beliefs ie she was nuts. To that end I think a lot of religious people are nuts. What they believe is utter bonkers a lot of the time. If I told you or anyone else that I believed in fairies at the bottom of the garden you'd stay well clear of me and rightly so. But if in the name of religion I say so-and-so rose from the dead and walked on water and was born from a virgin, then I would have your 'respect' for those beliefs. In my eyes Jesus is a fairy. Or a goblin, or a Jabberwockey. Either way it's all bollocks.

I missed it tonight and I was meant to tape it for the missus cos she was out. But I forgot and now I'm in trouble . Does anyone know if it will be repeated any time soon?
  15. What you're saying is that she should be free to, in effect, commit suicide. No she should not be free to do that, just like any person who intends to commit any kind of murder, should not be free to do that either. The two situations are entirely different. The JW could have had the transfusion and lived a long and happy life with her new kids and family. That is a totally different situation to a cancer patient who is terminally ill. And yes I do think that the sooner people understand the real world then maybe they would learn to live in it and stop hanging on the shoulder of religion which does nothing but offer false promises, false hope and doesn't give strength it just drains it because it diverts attention and resources from the real issues at hand. Give us education, not religion.
  16. It is insanity. Her religion has taken over her brain to such a point that she does not care for her life. To me that is the sign of insanity, as her mind is not her own. To that end, she should have been immediately sectioned. Then she would have had no power over her medical issues and the blood would have been forced down her throat (so to speak)
  17. Blood between mother and baby isn't mixed. The oxygen and nutritious contents of the mothers blood pass across the placenta into the baby's blood, while CO2 and waste pass from the baby to the mother. Anyway, religion is all bollocks, especially Jehovah's one, just a pack of lies to prop up the weak and needy and is used by the powerful to control the masses. You might as well believe in the fairies at the bottom of the garden. All IMHO of course.
  18. I can vouch for that. What is the point of them enforcing low 55mph speeds while allowing phone use, tailgating and eating a 3 course chinese with chopsticks while at the wheel?
  19. I posted this earlier, and seeing as you all like girly vocals, I wonder what you all think of this:
  20. Both. It saddens me that schmalzy pap is popular, but then again it always has been
  21. Can't stand it. Nauseating, gaye as fuck housewife music
