  1. Have you tried the specialist insurers for insurance? It may be cheaper than you think, so a Jap spec TT could be in reach. Try Sky, Adrian Flux etc
  2. I'm in this boat, I like to drive at least once a week whatever the weather
  3. I kind of agree, but I'd much rather have the latter than the former. There are some amazing cars out there which could embarrass a Supra that look pants, they deserve much more respect than a sheep in wolf's clothing.
  4. Actually mine didn't come with brackets, just the hangers as seen in Nic's pic. I'm not sure if they exist? Either way we managed to fit it on somehow
  5. Can you post a pic of what you have, and I will compare to mine and see what you need exactly

    help:(

The good news is auto boxes are very cheap. If Keron doesn't have one ask Lee at SRD he should still have my old one, and a few others probably.
  7. I'm after another one, so many on the market to choose from, show us what you got
  8. Have you gone BPU yet? If you're going to add a FMIC there are other things to do first. With regards to that FMIC I'd hesitate before buying anything that's cheap for the Supra, it's a powerful car with high quality components - why spoil it with cheap tat? Save up for something better
  9. Good question... I don't know! Lee at SRD did the work earlier this year, he may have forgotten by now. As far as I can tell, it's back to stock ie spoiler comes down only at high speed.
  10. You might remember you did mine a few years back, but when I converted from auto to manual it all went out the window and now it's back to stock. Fancy having a go at fixing it?
  11. I have a spare pair which are used so they could probably do with a refurb.
  12. Nice pics, you been up on the N York moors? Great drive from Chop Gate to Helmsley
  13. Not a chance! In 10 years she has never even sat in the drivers seat!
  14. I managed to get the car back ok, journey went without a hitch. The garage in Belgium told me that they could see the problem had been repaired before, which is true, it was 'fixed' last summer. I'm surprised that the same thing could happen again just one year later.
  15. OK I called the garage up today and cynic that I am expected them to say 'Supra? What Supra?' but lucky for me they sounded OK and said 100euro for the tow + fix. Which is reasonable enough I suppose. The train + ferry will be another £200, so all in all the hose which has popped off, which I presume was the problem, has cost me a day worth of time and about £300. I just hope they haven't been hooning around Belgium this past week or so!
  16. Back in UK now, I managed to get a lift back Supra is still in Belgium, I'll have to go over again in a few weeks to pick it up. What a pita
  17. It could be Jazz but I will have to get it up on a ramp to find out, the tow truck is on it's way. Fingers crossed I won't have to leave it here for them to fix and have to come all the way back to Belgium in a few weeks to collect.
  18. Ferry is an hour away ie from Dover not Zeebrugge, which only goes to Hull. Also, car is damn near undriveable without power steering, and even if I do drive it, I'll just end up damaging it more. Best case - they fix it tomorrow morning. Worst case - I leave the car here, somehow get back to the UK (no idea how as yet) then somehow get back here with the part required (whatever it may be) and hang around until 'hopefully' fixed. Expensive and time consuming.
  19. I had a bit of business today in Zeebrugge, Belgium today so I came over on the ferry in the Supra, due to return tomorrow (Sat) afternoon. Quite a pleasant drive as it happens. Now just as I get near to the hotel the power steering fails. Fluid leaking all over the place from near to the passenger side front wheel, making the car barely drivable. . This happened last summer too and I had to get the car transported to get it fixed. So the problem is that I am stuck in Belgium with a busted car, the ferry goes Sat pm at 3pm and fly to the US on Sunday, so somehow I MUST get home. There is a local garage about 1km away, tomorrow morning I walk over there and see if they can fix it. If OK then sorted, job done. But if not, I have a 'slight problem', to put it mildly.
  20. Get it checked over and serviced by someone who actually knows Supras ie Whifbitz, SRD etc. Stay away from your local do-it-all and stay away from Toyota garages too!
  21. LOL I wondered if anyone would notice
