Pure paranoia. I have over 800 positive feedbacks, zero negative, and that is nothing extraordinary. The thing is you have only been listening to the bad things. For every bad experience, there are 100s if not 1000s of good ones.

I think I do a lot of them already eg yawn destroying, dog shagging when she is bent over, pretending not to listen, imitating her voice (and imitating her dad, oh she hates that!) Yes I am annoying and a nuisance, but she loves it

'Most cars' yes, but what about the many older cars that still have shoddy brakes that are still on our roads. Heavily laden lorries too also have longer braking distances, and they are the things most likely to cause damage in an accident situation. It's all about SAFE SAFE SAFE and our government and society in general is hell bent on providing 'safety' for everyone and everything. There is no room for taking your own chances any more, everything has to be done for the common safety of everyone else.

Don't be afraid to spend time looking for the right car, take several months if necessary, you will get a TT 6 speed sooner or later for the price you can afford. Patience is the name of the game
