Yes it would be good if we could stop criminals at the border, but as we all know the resources are just not there. My point about the OP is that it just makes ALL immigrants look bad, by showing some skewed imprisonment stats. How about some stats about the GOOD things that they do for a change?

This is true. You could draw the conclusion that some ethnic groups are picked on more by the police than the indigenous population. Or perhaps they find it harder to find work, for whatever reason, and so in their frustration they resort to crime. On the other hand perhaps Johnny Foreigner is just lazy, immoral & workshy who would rather benefit from live a life of crime than do a hard days work. Like those ones 'taking all our jobs'. Fact of the matter is, drawing conclusions from stats like the one from the OP doesn't really do anything apart from reinforce prejudice.

I'll not be buying it. They asked me for some music to go on it, I said OK send the contract to my lawyers, they negotiated, job done. Then they decided they didn't want to use the music after all... and my lawyer hands me a £800 bill.

Top marks Bignum, I had to jump start it this morning not having started it for about a month. I had to take a guess with the jump leads as the battery on the donor car wasn't marked black/red... looks like I guessed wrong! I should have looked closer to see if there was a -ve and +ve marked but too late now. The car does start and does drive, but with no electrics. Fuse is deffo blown. I just have to find one now.

It's the bottom left one in the pic below, in the fuse box under the bonnet next to the battery. It may well be the alternator one as there are no electrics working at all; no speedo, no lights, no electric windows, no dash fan, no indicators...

First of all, where to get a new fuse from? Secondly, how to replace? It looks like it's stuck down somehow.

Respray can be done anytime, but sourcing a good 6sp conversion could take many months, if not longer, so I'd choose the 6sp But as been said many times before, do not overlook the auto without having tried it (or better still, compared the two), believe it or not you could change your mind

Yesterday I came out of one of those tedious 50mph average speed zones on the motorway with a clear road in front of me and floored it, as you do. Car went sideways, but I managed to keep it under control and carried on. I was surprised at this as it's never happened before, and the RLTC was switched on. So how could this have happened? I'm beginning to think the RLTC isn't working properly. Either way it's making me a bit nervous to know if it could happen again; next time I might not be so lucky.

Have you had a go in one before? I suggest try an auto, and a TT, ask around and see if there are any members near you who might give you a go. Auto is great, don't overlook it.
