Easy to kick someone when they're down. Or dead. She wasn't thick - uneducated maybe, but not thick. There is a difference. How did she manage to get to where she was, with 'no talent', if she was so thick?

It looks nice enough for an n/a, and the LPG conversion will be a bonus when it comes to fuel costs. Remember with an n/a you may well be hankering after more power sooner or later, and for a few K more you could get a decent TT.

The good thing about the slow lane is that you quickly get caught up and overtaken by the faster cars. Then you can pick and choose which ones you want to catch up with for a bit of fun. Better than dying of boredom in the middle lane at 70?

Nothing could be further than the truth, I've been running my own business for 20 years in direct competition with the big boys, and in my own little way I run rings around them, which I enjoy immensely. Have a read through what you wrote again, and tell me that 'Google wanting to take pics of the inside of your home' etc etc doesn't reek of paranoia

Think for yourself, don't let 'society' sway your better judgement and turn you into a cynic. Yes it may well go down from 20%, but it may yet go up too. And even if it does go down, it's unlikely to be worse than it was. I agree it would have been great PR for cancer charities if she had been seen to put some of that money into one of their charities, the very people who have been helping her through this. You can't win em all.

You don't know for a [fact] what happens to the money. As it happens, it's been reported that it will go to her children. I see nothing wrong with that, it's better than them sponging off the state for the next 10-15 years? Yes of course lots of people donate, and now a whole lot more will. Skiving? Now you're just being cynical. Screening saves lives, simple as.

You and a lot of other people are missing the point. Jade Goody's plight was not just about Jade Goody. It served to remind us all of the devastation that cancer can bring. If it wasn't for Jade Goody being 'plastered over the media' every day, then perhaps many of us wouldn't think of donating to a cancer charity, or of the many people suffering who deserve our thoughts. Cervical cancer screenings are up 21%. That would not have happened without this coverage, and the people that will benefit from this could be someone in your own family.

Yes but we're not talking about that, that's something else entirely! It's just pictures documenting a single moment in time, taken last year. You can't 'spy' on something that's static. How can that be an erosion of privacy, when your property is on public display in real time, 24 hours a day 7 days a week?

Because nobody is remotely interested in 99.99% of us and our lives, and to suggest that this google application - which merely displays a snapshot of the world one day last year - will be used to 'spy' on us is ridiculous.

Jake's point is that the winning player only had an ace high before the final card was turned up, and had bet a LOT up until that point. Why would anyone bet so crazy on just an ace? Perhaps he was just bluffing, and got lucky when the final ace was drawn.
