OK so 10% of the profit (£2.7k total) shared out or 5% for each staff member (£4k total) is roughly what I am looking at. Obviously I like the former better. I will sleep on it!

I'm about to expand the business a bit and take on two more people meaning there will be 4 employees altogether including myself. I'm thinking of offering some kind of incentive to produce good work rather than just a basic wage, like a % of the annual profits or something. Can anyone tell me what kind of % to consider offering? I don't know what's the norm or if there is some kind of industry standard. Or other kinds if incentives, performance related pay schemes etc that I can decide upon. THX

The throw of a dice is random as is the flip of a coin. It's impossible to guage the forces that are exerted upon the dice or coin to predict what comes up next, so the outcome is random. There are events in nature where there is a choice of two or more outcomes, each of which has equal probability. Only one outcome can occur ie the dice is 3 or a 6 etc. Which outcome arises is impossible to predict, and depending on which outcome does arise could lead to a variety of further outcomes, and so on. Predeterminism and fate? No 'chance'!

If what you say holds true then there will be no such thing as a RANDOM event. We all know that random events do occur, which puts paid to the deterministic theories.

Sorry mate, but to suggest that a someone convicted of such a heinous crime would only get "6 months in a category d prison where they're allowed to roam around the streets anyway" is not only silly but so much so that it's utterly ludicrous. And yes of course you're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to point out it's daft. I think what you're trying to say is something along the lines that punishment in the UK is too soft? If so you should say so and not resort to preposterous exaggeration to make your point.

What a barbaric country Yemen is to do such a thing. As a nation they are no better than the perpetrator of the crime. His admission was probably brought about under torture. I doubt he got a fair trial either.
