Indeed they do. It's the retailer who ends up paying, not the bank or the card issuer. They are just a facilitator between customer and retailer.

You just have to look beyond your local multiplex or Sky TV and you'll find thousands of excellent films that don't have explosions, special effects, monsters and aliens etc.

If you do break it you also need to factor in the labour cost of breaking and also costs of storage & selling/scrapping the parts. -
