  1. Because who would have overheard the conversation? At passport control it's a one-to-one. The officer is hardly going to have repeated it to his mates, and the old man would have too much dignity to have tell such a tale, if it had happened at all.
  2. Yes ha ha but impossible for it to be true.

    Polanski

Crap? CRAP? WTF you on about. In your opinion as a lay person perhaps, but I'd trust the opinions of millions of other film goers, critics and professionals within the industry more. Watch "Knife in the Water" and "Cul de Sac", then think again.

    I got a job!

Great feeling isn't it. Well done!
  5. Why not have a FMIC AND 2 x SMIC??? I'll get my coat...
  6. Pudsey just get some red glass paint and slap it on a normal bulb you'll find it works a treat

    No TV Licence?

You'd rather pay MORE to see Murdoch's political propoganda? Whatever way you look at it, all journalism is propoganda on behalf of whoever is paying the journalist writing the story. Political reporting aside, the BBC is world renowned for the quality of its reporting. Besides news reporting 90% of its output is not political at all, or do Top Gear/MOTD/Blue Peter count as political propoganda and a "scandalous waste of tax payers money"?

    No TV Licence?

Scandalous is a bit strong. The BBC is a public service that is the envy of the world. Take a look at public service broadcasting from ANY other country if you think I'm wrong!

    No TV Licence?

Some of those excuses are probably true! I have a TV at work that I never use. It's our old one, and I just have it stored there as a spare in case the one at home goes on the blink. Does that mean I have to pay? As far as the law goes, yes! But they can fook off

    Chas n Dave

I hear that they have split! Shame I will miss their cheesy songs and superb record covers:
  11. Indeed it is. It's up and running, good rep, in business over 10 years and 12,000 on the mailing list. But needs some serious updating!!!
  12. Sounds to me like more money - sorry, a LOT more money - has to be given to solicitors to get the law to act. Unless there is loads involved like over 10k it's probably not worth it and even then there is no guarantee. Once the judgement has been given, it should be up to the law courts to make sure payment is made. That's fundamental IMO.
  13. Subscribed. I need some serious work doing and have 10k+ budget!
  14. OK so the bulider takes him to court. Wins the case, gets a judgement in his favour. Bailiffs come round, he doesn't let them in. Then what? If the man won't pay, he won't pay.
  15. I was reading this and I can't understand why the law is prosecuting the builder for criminal damage. Surely if the roof hasn't been paid for, he is entitled to take the materials back? If I take something out of Tesco without paying for it I'd be arrested on the spot. But if I get a roof built and don't pay for it, then it's the builder who gets arrested for trying to take back what is his! This hides a big problem in the UK with the law on when something is legally owned & paid for - and when it isn't.
  16. It's an accounts package that does all 3 things that you need ie jobs, customer records, invoicing etc etc. Do a search on the net you'll find it
  17. Get the PW one if no joy with CW, as was said before PW wouldn't bother to do it if it was shoite
  18. The Nissan is a good choice & looks great but we all know that when (not if) Supra owners get used to the power they're able to up the bhp quite easily. So what to do when you're used to that of the Nissan? It's almost 10 years since the last Supra was made, but the fact is there are still few things to compare in terms of performance/looks vs price.
  19. He is single handedly responsible for my quaffing of a bottle of wine each time I cook. RIP.

    Bit fed up

Already got an LPG runaround for commuting, but there is no way I want to do a 500 mile trip in that shed when I am in it most days of the week! The whole point of the supra is to have some fun but sometimes a point arises where the benefits don't add up.

    Bit fed up

Normally I wouldn't bat an eyelid at doing this journey. Just that I paid £71 for a tank of fuel, then seeing I would need 2 of them made be think a bit differently that's all.
