It's already happened to me and I scared them off. Burglars are burglars. Nothing more. They want to get in, grab your stuff, and get out without any hassle. As such they tend not to be violent, they'd rather just leg it and get the hell out of there. So in answer to your question, you make a hell of a noise, scream and scare the sh1t out of them, and 9 times out of 10 they will leave - fast! For all you keyboard warriors out there, knives, violence - and murder - isn't necessary. Now answer MY question.

If it was your son/brother/friend who had done the burglary, would you have accepted his DEATH for having done so? I doubt it. There are so many extreme right wing reactionists hell bent on violence as a means of revenge on this board. I honestly can't believe what I read sometimes.

Think about the greater good. If an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera can't read your plate cos it's not the right size, then how are the police to see if your car is speeding, taxed or insured? And how are they find or trace your car if it's been stolen? Your narcissism in having a small plate does have its cost.

This is true. Whenever I see a newspaper article about something I'm very familiar with, the errors and untruths are quite amazing. So if they're reporting on something I have no idea about, how am I to know if they're telling me how it really is or not? The power of the printed word is not to be underestimated! -
So what? Do farmers stay in bed when it's raining instead of milking the cows at 5am on a January morning? Same can be said of anyone working an outdoor job. It's called DUTY and SERVICE and sometimes you don't have a choice. The postmen need to wake up and get real. If they lose their jobs over this, someone else will just take them instead.
